Actually I hear tell that game has a side character that's a troon in it. But it's not overt like DA the Veilguard and "Actually I'm nonbinary" or whatever.

It's why all of them rely so much on DLC and microtransactions. Barely anyone plays fighting games anymore, so they have to rely on the few whales they get.
They wouldn't have this issue if they didn't try to nickel and dime the players at every opportunity, focused on producing good games and stopped trying to court social activists on Twitter-I mean Blue Sky.
I've said it countless times in this thread and I'll say it again but you're dooming your game when you release a game that's half-finished, feature bare and has 65% of its actual content locked behind a pay wall. On top of that 70 dollar entrance fee.
Granted, that's just a problem with gaming in general these days.
And DEI doesn't help either.
Why keep trying to milk the living fuck out of a dying franchise to the point that you eventually gave up on recycling the multiverse and nostalgiabait bullshit?
I am probably very optimistic here but I like to think they wouldn't be in this predicament if they just treated their own franchise with respect.
Unpopular opinion: I don't hate the gameplay or the characters they chose this go around, I think introducing some of 3D characters in a new light was a great idea
I dislike the kameos but I agree that breathing life into some of the 3D characters not named Kenshi or Ermac was a good thing. If MK1 was good, I'd love to see them keep going. Maybe do something with Kobra or Jarek or Kai. Or hell, give us a playable Tasia.
I'm glad they don't just milk the OG cast over and over again only. I mean they still do with almost everyone playing the same roles as before or got a little switcheroo like Liu Kang and Raiden.

The idea is good but the execution is horrendous.

I'm like 95% sure these are just recolors of skins in the actual game. MK11 had this exact same issue.
Nothing wrong with recolors but fuck paying actual cash for them or spending five centuries in the Krypt or waiting for that stupid comet thing you need to do a special input cheat code thingy to capture or something so you can get the super duper special tournament skins or whatever.
Heaven forbid you have an internet outage.
