Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

Last ubisoft games I enjoyed were Rayman and For Honor. Is the last one still alive? Or does it suck now? I stopped playing For Honor due to having to interact with uplay.

Damn, outside the "no ghosts" rule Tencent sounds alright.
Is probably how every interaction with the CEOs why this woman ugly we don't like ugly women we don't play ugly women you dumb you dumb that's why you have no husband.
Why you putting you already put my game I not like you already go back to Africa yard ape do not make money why you put put way Morehead freaking game and not make money you leave now
Apparently Tencent was the one pushing Ubisoft to include Yasuke. The video implies Tencent has been intentionally sabotaging Ubi for a takeover.
If you're being outplayed by Mr. ping because you're trying to score diversity points you are an idiot clearly Mr. ping is the superior businessman to Mr. shecklstein

Any one believe that the massive update coming to Star Wars Outlaws is gonna help them out? Seems like Ubisoft is just desperate to carry this limping brand over the finish line with a sunk cost fallacy.
fwiw most other companies would've dropped it already and pretend it never existed.

instead of just giving everyone WoNY, and then lowering the price of the basegame + WoNY combo going forward?
lol, you gotta pay up either way goy if you were dumb enough to buy it before. you're not getting that shit for free, that's only for new players to boost numbers.

I really don't get Ubisoft pricing with The Division 2. I literally bought the The Division 2 Gold Edition for $7 from the Ubisoft store during Black Friday a year or two after its release and I've never seen that cheap again. Even bought a couple for my friends at $5.

I think Div 2 pricing was kind of skewed because 2 years after release was when support/new content was originally planned to end so they were probably flogging it off super cheap for a last cash in. Of course not long after that they realized the company was kind of in the shit, and The Division has a surprisingly good fanbase that they could milk, hence restarting development with a small team cranking out low effort shit to keep milking the fans until they can get some new games out.

Microsoft pauses Windows 11 updates for PCs with some Ubisoft games installed

Microsoft has stopped offering updates to Windows 11 version 24H2 on PCs that have certain Ubisoft games installed, Bleeping Computer reports. The company made the move after complaints that Star Wars Outlaws and games in the Assassin’s Creed series were crashing after installing the new Windows update.
Microsoft confirmed the “compatibility hold” in a status update yesterday evening, and says it’s working with Ubisoft to find a fix. In the meantime, the company recommends against installing the Windows 11 24H2 update manually.
Here is Microsoft’s description of the issue and games affected:
After installing Windows 11, version 24H2, you might encounter issues with some Ubisoft games. These games might become unresponsive while starting, loading or during active gameplay. In some cases, users might receive a black screen. The affected games are:
• Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
• Assassin’s Creed Origins
• Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
• Star Wars Outlaws
• Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Microsoft writes that Ubisoft has released a temporary hotfix to address crashing issues in Star Wars Outlaws, but says that players “might still experience some performance issues.”

Window 11, one of the more shitty windows version, will not even let you update if you have a new Ubisoft game installed.

Ubisoft wants Steam to remove player count tracking before AssCreed Shadow release
Based on their recent titles' performance on Steam, I'd be surprised if Valve even returns their emails, especially after they came crawling back, cap in hands. This would be one of the only times Valve could generate goodwill by removing Ubislop games from their storefront than continue tolerating their unwelcome presence.

"You have your own shitty storefront don't you? Good luck with that"

I'm really curious what's the issue exactly, ubisoft playing fast and loose or microsoft being shit as usual?

So, we're really going to spend the next two years watching the lot of these projects die before we start to get something even remotely half decent again, eh?

Depends on how far along many of the projects are. Many devs likely lack the resources to retool their games, many more are too arrogant and/or deluded to admit there might be a problem and will likely double down on "owning" the chuds.

I'd give it at least another 5 years of slop being released, with decreasing frequency and being met with more and more hostility as time goes on.
