They literally spent more IRL time putting this submod in TNO than the in-game years of content it will add for the new countries. Not a dead mod btw

The new map is cool but correct me if I'm wrong but there won't be any actual new content since they just integrated the ODF submod, so they only added mexico this year, which is less content than last year, which at least had guangdong and face-lifted japan. Remember when tno redefined hoi4 meme "culture?" Hell, even the "is that a mf tno reference" copypasta is outdated since many of the references got removed, like kishi purge and shrimp boat or weren't ever added like the RAF germany

Mango himself is apparently someone really influential in the TCT reddit and the like. Probably from before he jumped onto TNO.

I know this isn't TNO related, but the thread title also mentions the HOI4 modding community at large.
I was thinking of getting HOI4 solely for the Old World Blues mod that turns the game into a proper Fallout game. My question is this: Seeing how much drama the HOI4 community gets into, has there been anything interesting coming from that dev team? I heard that they support trannies here or there, or maybe they added in tranny content, but I never hear the details. I wanna know if the devs of that mod are woke, retarded ect. that would make me reconsider trying it.

there are some trannies in moderation on their server
core mod team seems okay, but they all suffer from the standard terminally online illness that befalls discord users
seems ripe for severe pozzing once the main devs get bored and leave, as many have done already
these are the most egregious trannies




note the first one (nice bio faggot) is an "Overseer", which amounts to being one of the head modders
as far as the current content of the mod, most of it is pretty good, lot of weird "gender non-conforming" shit in the newer updates (i.e. men who look like women, women who look like men, women who act like men)
probably 50/50 woman leaders, and the women are usually the most aggressive in terms of expansionism (northern khans, rogue rangers, haymans chapter)
its not enough to put me off the mod, but it would be more fun if they'd stop trying to be subversive and just make characters that are somewhat believable

What the fuck even happened to Ingerland? Like of all things that was one lore I liked (I admire old England for its content being made but it was kinda ass and did not fit) and fascist England was one thing I was curious about. Instead Ingerland has just been forgotten about. In short we got Guangdong in late 23. We got Ingerland in December of 23 and feel like it bled into the Janurary of 24. Forget when Mexico came in but feel it was September. Now we have deep freeze as their obligatory Christmas update.

Strangely it leads credence to the theory that Panzer and the team at large only care about Nazi wank. Japan lore was half baked and while Panzer and other devs could go on and on about Germany they never really got into it other than Japan loses the Great Asian War to China and gets surpassed by them in super power status and they give up the treaty ports for American oil.

Personally I take the stance of Malaysian Emergency CPS victory, Philippines American victory., Indonesian cease-fire and split Indonesia. If we're goig with TNO2 in the Panzer way he would have probably picked Takagi who was an authdem back then. As Takagi was just the LDP but under the YSK government. One thing I also liked more so from fanons is a lot of TNO headcanons have a Tiananmen square style Incident in the 80s. One being a student protest at a shrine which IJA bayoneted them down.
