I have vision issues, and I come into contact with some people who were born blind, but also are hard of hearing or deaf and I hear so many fucking stories of interpreters being scamming cunts. They're not all bad, but anywhere where people are working with handicapped people, you get this nexus of cunts, and it's completely intolerable. My brain broke later in life, so I have no tolerance for being scammed and get outraged; people who've been disabled their whole lives are like, "lol, this is just how it is to be disabled; they scam you."

Here's a great video from a deaf woman who had to fire her medical interpreter. Her interpreter determined at her audiologist that maybe she wasn't THAT deaf! (even though she's been dealing with this since childhood, has implants, kek) because she's not great at signing and can read lips. What a faggot. And when she complained about this woman, others were like, oh yeah, she's known to be a problem. But she keeps interpreting and treating people like shit anyway, because ACCESS AT ANY COST! Even if that cost comes to the disabled client's dignity.

Mother nature isn't kind to east coast or American south.
Since state of California in general is fucking dry, heaps of dry grass, decomposing dead trees, grass and animals feces produce pockets of methane which starts fires when next heat wave hits.
Solution to this problem is fairly simple:
Bulldoze dead nature and dispose it in a responsible manner.
Them create "buffer zones" which prevent uncontrollable wildfires and desertification. That however requires water, fresh supply of locally grown fauna and educated workers that clean and tend to bushfire prone areas.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who realized how fucking retarded this shit is. When I was a kid I had a friend who had to wear hearing aids occasionally and his mom was deaf or pretty close to it so it was some genetic thing I guess but she would use sign language and never made any of these retarded faces these people use. She would look at you and mouth the words and use her hands and it was pretty easy to understand what the hell she was trying to tell you. They even had captions on their TV through whatever service they used and it was completely undistracting, unlike these clowns they throw up stage. I think it really must be purposely a distraction technique at this point because they always look like a someone making fun of a deaf person not someone who actually knows what the fuck they are doing.

the winds are a'changing again, it's barely been 3 hours but they look completely different.


Palisades is going southeast, Eaton is seemingly spewing wind out in every direction around it, and there are a bunch of different wind patterns up and down the state away from the fires that are mostly heading west or south.
The Palisades bit is the most concerning. I'm still thinking of Santa Monica. For some reason, I really can't shake the feeling that the fire's going to get there eventually even though the worst of the Palisades is up north right now. Hoping it's just a nothingburger gut feeling.

Cameras are still mostly useless. This is basically the only Palisades camera not facing the other way or burnt to a crisp right now and it's very hard to make out anything useful on it. Maybe that light to the left is from the fire but possibly it's just the usual LA night lights and probably the quality on this image is too bad to really tell, so there's little point in speculating either way.


Eaton is only barely more helpful. This is supposed to be right on top of the latest fire reports, yet there's still so much light pollution that it's tough to discern. I'm leaning on this just being regular city lighting due to the lack of smoke, but that wouldn't make sense given the camera's position since this is supposed to be directly staring at this huge 14k+ acre fire that it just can't see.
