Your meal arrives right on time, you cut into the meat and it's perfectly cooked, medium-rare, nice and juicy. As you dig in, you notice something strange on your plate. Among the garnishing you discover a rat turd. You immediately call a waiter to make a complaint and he says the following.

Because not even Vavra is retarded enough to forget what he said about africans not being in 1400 Bohemia. He is also not retarded enough to not know what public reception was going to be, which was why it is review embargoed. As I said before, the character's purpose could be accomplished by a long list of other kinds of foreigners, but he chose an african. There's only one reason to do that, and its to run a bait-and-switch on your customers. Everybody recognizes this, stop playing dumb.

We clearly have different metrics here. Mine is: if your character is involved in a sodomy scene, optional or not, that character is a sodomite. In KCD 1, there were zero sodomy scenes for Henry to engage in, ergo Henry was not a sodomite. In KCD2 there is at least 1 scene, maybe more, where Henry engages in sodomy, ergo Henry is a sodomite. Henry was not a sodomite in KCD1, but is in KCD2. This is rainbow-washing. QED.

People thought it was really based when he did that exact thing to the journos, as in replying to them when they talk shit about him. People are wary because it is an often used tactic, but it doesn't need to be a tactic... especially since Vavra didn't do the next step of the tactic, which is saying "everyone who disagrees with me is like this person".

Again, because of the bait and switch he tried to pull, I believe Vavra is not a man of integrity. Regardless, of this, there are two possibilities:
1. The objectionable material was forced to be put there by embracer, and Vavra cucked out and did it
2. The objectionable material was put there by Vavra himself, full well knowing the customer base he's been building and how they would react.

Both of these are bad situations, but if Vavra is solely responsible for the content of the game it is far more damning, and deserves even more scorn than he has received to date.


In my estimation, Vavra has demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt that he's a lying, two-faced, sack of shit, and that he thinks his customers are marks. Sweep if you like, but doing so will only encourage this type of behavior from him, and other devs, in the future.

Unlikely, not impossible. There was a lot of gold trading going through the Sahara during the point in time. You have to assume somethings, but none of that is totally impossible.

This leak predates Vavra's tweets mentioning the fact Musa was in the court of Bayezid, which means its probably real. In this Musa directly mentions how his countrymen aren't like the Ottomans. We do not know how Musa came to join the royal court. Vavra's tweet says Sigismund (or someone working for him.) met Musa at the Court of Bayezid thanks to Musa having a engagement there. Does that mean Musa was part of the court, was he just visiting? We don't know, there's a lot of blanks here. I think there are possible reasonable explanations about how he ended up travelling with Sigismund's army, we just don't know them yet.
