Path of Exile

Lol quite the opposite actually, it's more casual friendly than PoE1. That's not only my opinion, but the generally agreed upon consensus amongst old players and new players alike.

It's a DPS check, you either have shitty gear or shitty build (or both). You wanted to experiment with a build, go for it, good for you
Contradictory statements: It's "for casuals" but also the boss is a DPS check to make sure you're not being a casual?
Retarded niggerbait is obvious.
Also I am one of those old players, been at it for about 10 years, and I don't agree. PoE2 is much more challenging and interesting then PoE1.

Besides, you say "bad gear", but I had good gear with the upper end of values you can get at lv50. You can see the values ranges when holding a hotkey. You say "bad build" but the perk of doing Weapon Set passives is that your build isnt watered down, you have two different 'builds' that are both at 100% power because the passives switch over in realtime: I was both a ranged  and melee character, and know when not to use melee. Plus, and I need to stress this: you can just go pay to respec, I was able to do a handful of builds testing out phys, cold, etc and nothing really made any difference. And you say "consensus" but I was literally googling around seeing how people feel about shit like Mektul and the bird boss in Chaos as I was writing that post last night. I know what the consensus is, I was actively reading it at the time, specifically BECAUSE I wanted to see how people were feeling about many aspects of the game so far.

Also I don't care what the fan's opinions are, I'm going by what Rogers himself has said in the trailers, devstreams, and at their conventions when answering questions. Endgame atlas stuff is present in the Early Access and actively being balanced because they know people who grind endgame content are going to be their bread and butter: those are the people who hang around, buy cosmetics and stash tabs, and pay for custom leagues. The people who actually pay for the game long term.

I’ve plotted out the rest of my home brew build, which should end up at ~47500 DPS at level 95.
I have 82% Evasion with buffs while running Acrobatics, with a good Amulet and Boots to still find to put my resistances over cap.
The build is best described as a crit focused Lightening ranger, I’m not running any cold shit.
I’ve gone hard into projectile speed equipment and jewels since it converts to increased damage.

I’ve run one citadel, the act 3 boss one. It wasn’t easy or hard, my build (which was tankier but weaker at the time) felt like a good balance for the boss.
The question is, will the build I’ve described be able to do all end game content, or will I hit a wall with certain bosses or activities?
I can run T16 maps without issue, I have no idea how you even get T17/18’s going lol.

The second half of Act 3 is a terrible unfinished mess and that's apparent to anyone going through it.
Maps are too big, enemies are brutally hard hitting without the sweatiest of builds, and the whole area at the start of the second area of Act 3 is inconvenient as fuck to merchant sell / check.
So it is fair to say it needs work.
Some of the side quests are barely a fart in terms of what they are too. I'd imagine it will be more flushed out later, But the second half is extremely rough.

Oh no the game does not have "Press X to win" button, it's only for sweats and tryhards. Somehow back in the day you didn't have millions of yt videos and online guides yet everyone managed to play games just fine, now you have in-game essays about a single ability with clear demonstration in the form of a short video and zoomers still can't comprehend it.
Also I am one of those old players, been at it for about 10 years, and I don't agree. PoE2 is much more challenging and interesting then PoE1.
I've been playing on and off since 2015, you want a medal nigga? PoE2 has the problem of overtuned mobs but that can be changed with simple number tweaking. PoE 2 in the current state is much more accessible to the average guy. Way less mechanics, the crafting is very simple, proper movement can be often replaced with a simple dodge etc. Interesting? The end game is lacking heavily, the prospect of what PoE 2 can become is very promising, don't get me wrong, but right now it's definitely lackluster in many areas.
the bird boss in Chaos
Cherrypicked out of dozens of fair bosses. Besides, wasn't he nerfed already?
It's a sign saying "improve your build".
I could understand listing Zarokh as a hard boss, listing side-quest bosses is a new low.
I can run T16 maps without issue, I have no idea how you even get T17/18’s going lol.
Theoretically you should easily run T17/T18 maps without issues with 50k DPS, but that number is dogshit in telling you how much dmg you actually do.

For those who have beat the pinnacle boss, how does the level of difficulty compare to the time boss in Sekhema?

I got 4th ascendancy there recently, it was a pretty easy fight but I think that was due to having heaps of boons, honour and resistance with no impactful afflictions.
It took 3-5 minutes and felt like an actual boss fight though, so that was cool.

Still haven't had a level 20 gem drop, but I'm making do.

I got bored of my Witch build and switched to Monk. The first few levels are painful, but wow...it just tears through most enemies and bosses.

Damn, where are you pulling all those levels from?
I finally had a level 20 drop in the last session, I overpaid for a bunch of shit T16s since I had just set up a T18 farm for the first time.
After 7 in a row the only decent drop was that gem.
I don’t think I’ll go out my way to do another setup until I’ve juiced my own T16s.

I’ve been chasing citadels, selling fragments and doing Sekhema runs. Much more fun.
I forget the name of the relic, but one drop sells for 4div. Only had it once after 5 or so runs.

3.26 delayed until further notice.
Lol, lmao even

With games like Monster Hunter coming out late February I am honestly not too sad about this. Would have liked to see a mini league of some kind like endless delirium though. At least GGG have shown in the past they can respond to feedback and reverse course if need be (Lake of Kalandra rarity/loot changes), so I am optimistic about the future of the game overall.

To avoid a double post here is some seeth about the current state of poe 2.

The new event ascendancies are looking whack. I think I'll try out Herald to start, that way I can use the Damnation node alongside Divine Flesh and a perfect roll Doppelganger Guise so I'll get at minimum 40% damage reduction to all damage types, alongside an effective +2.5% maximum ele resists.

Combine that with the ascendancy's Herald of Agony chaos res boost, Lone Messenger, and two Circles of Nostalgia and I think I can ez-cap chaos res and take the Agony Crawler to the moon even without auras.

As a more or less dedicated SSF player (I dislike interacting with human beings in my free time), I wish you could just get a loot rarity boost. Sweats would point and laugh, but who gives a shit? SSF players are completely unable to impact others' gameplay experience, and it's not like trading for high end gear is some kind of great test of skill. As it is, ticking the SSF box is just saying "I want absolutely no prayer of seeing most of the interesting items in the game."

Well you get an all SSF race coming up, so there's that. Also you could stream and get the Twitch boost, but I'm not sure if that's dependent on viewers or not. Or tied to whether you sent dick pics to GGG programmers. But it definitely exists.

Also ~30 days to 0.2 release, although they've announced literally nothing interesting yet.

Patch will finally drop in 7 days. Supposed to be adding 100+ new support gems.
And a new class
and new weapon types
and new ascendancies
and 6 portals back for maps (sort of, depends on waystone rarity)
and some map and tower reworks that look like they're a step in the right direction
and more atlas passive points and nodes
and an implied character passive tree rework (mentioned offhandedly during interview)
and no XP loss on pinnacle content
and an economy reset (optional)
and one morbillion uniques or something

I'll be going back to test it out I suppose, but Jonathan's Wild Ride really did put me off back in December. Still, spears are my favorite melee weapon in most games so I wanna make an ooga booga spear chucker warrior man and see how it works out.

And spectres (including rares that keep their mods), rogue exiles and ghosts (well wisps or something, but they're ghosts).

They really are autistic about releases.

I was about to ignore POE 2 for a long time until they walked back on their tower changes and made them less obnoxious. The make or break on whether I'm playing 0.2.0 is if the patch notes actually look good. If they just replace Archmage and stat-stacking Gemlings with just two different builds, I'll just nope out

This Friday I'll either be a Huntress or a Witch using specters.
Gonna try all kinds of shit and maybe this time push over 80.
I'm also considering SSF, because I barely trade as it is and I also loath the chinks and their RMT.
The first two weeks were the most fun, because everything was new, niggers were having fun in chat and faggots would get filtered by bosses, and would bitch and moan in generals.

So, fellow exiles, any plans or goals for when the patch drops?
Mine is definitely ass raping the Rogue Exiles.

First league was fun, got to 95 with a LA Deadeye homebrew, was able to do some pinnacle stuff but it was honestly a shit build and hit a wall.
Did a lot of respec’s at the end to try new shit, got a monk into endgame then gave everything away to a friend who can’t play much.

I’m gonna be pretty busy when new league launches, so will make a fast clear character to carry me to endgame, make some currency then switch to a the Warrior blacksmith.
I want to make a super tank, so might end up playing Lich if it ends up being invincible like some are speculating.
