it wasn't even a genocide, it was lowering the birthrate since krogans breed like crazy if left unchecked. the krogans were warring with the rest of the galaxy it was either that or an actual genocide. removing the genophage in 3 is dooming the galaxy but weekes is to retarded to see that.
"The genophage's modus operandi is not to reduce the fertility of krogan females, but rather the probability of viable pregnancies: many krogan die in stillbirth, with most fetuses never even reaching this stage of development. Moreover, every cell in each krogan is infected, to prevent the use of gene therapy to counteract it. Though the genophage was not designed as a "sterility plague", the combination of a low frequency of viable pregnancies with the krogan proclivity to violence and indifference about focused breeding leaves the krogan a dying race, and soon to be extinct."

Oh yes, always good to see the cancer of the gaming industry taking losses! How's that market dictated focus group logic working out now? Gutting the devs you gobble up in the name of slightly better bottom lines for the market ghouls.. and enforced trend chasing.. is turning out to be quite a volatile strategy mid-to-long term. Surely the social justice virtue signaling is still paying off though right? hahaha Get fucked!

Didn't they just press release that they are restructuring BW in advance of work on the new Mass Effect game? lol Sounds like they have problems.
The BW that created this disaster of a game, has lost even more names since it's release. Less experience and talent now than before this game.. Oof is this going to be a mess.

Don't fucking remind me. E.A. should shitcan Bioware anyway BECAUSE M.E. 5 is coming up. They should sub contract out the work to an RPG game developer that actually still gives a shit about things like Storywriting and being consistent with a setting. Maybe Owlcat or Larian.
Best to keep those 2 the fuck away from EA.
Or do you want them to end into the ditch?

Looks like Fatrick himself was also let go.

It's so funny seeing his timeline full of retweets of all the rats fresh off the sunk ship.
He finished the story he wanted to tell (his self insert Solas) and now he's done.

20 years is a very long time to be doing the same thing

sure he tanked BioWare but I guess he's fine

Didn't mean take them over. Meant pay them to work on the game. EAs biggest problem is it's in house development teams. They should quit trying to develop games under different brands and focus on being a publisher first and foremost.

Well, at least one of the WeekyWeekes and Friends gang made the leap to another subsidiary of EA, Motive. Guess she's not as useless as her friends, or maybe she's far more pleasant to work with, or maybe she suck cocks better.

Motive? That's not exactly a great place to end up right now either. They've been working on an Ironman game since 2023 or so long after the character has been dead in the MCU and popularity has tanked compared to what it was 5-10 years ago. It's just jumping from one dying studio after a series of flops, to another studio working on what is likely going to be a flop.

An amusing detail is that IMDB still lists the tranny lead dev by their original name.

Maybe it's because I'm not a terminally online xitter poster but am I the only one weirded out by this apparently common practice of begging for jobs on social media?
Just seems like a more pathetic form of networking. We don't live in an age where you can just walk to a place and ask for a job plus employees will no about when places are usually going to hire or start a project.

You're probably weirded out by it because you're a "web 1.0" guy as opposed to this modern "broadcast everything you do at all times with your face, name, and place of work attached to it" shit that's been mainstream for quite a while now. It's their idea of what social networking used to be 20 years ago, and they're hoping their buddies can get them jobs as nepo hires and what not.

These are turbo leftists. The type that clapped when they saw the character doing push ups for misgendering. They're hoping by very proudly announcing allegiance to the club that other turbo leftists at other companies will take pity on them.

One thing I know for sure is after Veilguard that I'll never trust Steam "overall user reviews". Mostly positive my ass. If you look at most helpful reviews, they're 20 negative to 1 positive review, and even then those positive ones are fairly reluctant. I might even be generous with the ratio.

Just so you know, there are a good number of negative steam reviews with a positive sticker to avoid having the developer claim to be review bombed, which would then remove a good chunk of negative reviews, because Valve actually does clear that shit up if it looks artificial.

Let's say ME5 theoretically has a 100% chance of being good, would that even save Bioware?
If they were smart ME5 would be really cheaply made and be on the production level of something like kotor. If it’s a triple A title then no way it sells enough because no way anybody has any faith left in BioWare by 2029. They should do the funny thing and just cut their losses and make ME5 a neverwinternights module no way they lose money on something that easily made.

Damn, I didn't expect Patrick Weekes and his wife to get fired. Interesting.
