PPP also confirmed what we already knew.. That Phil hates games now and wants to do pretty much anything else.

Even with games he picks and does the most boring shit.. CoD for more than half the year for a "variety" streamer. Drip feeds games like he does his legos.. Dragging games like Yakuza and avowed for months and months that he plays with no emotion, decent humor, or insight...

Out of all the indie games he could play he chosses a game about digging a hole and kiosk( although I'm seeing a lot of big youtubers played those, at least their streams and videos are only 30 min-1 hour and you can actually tell they are trying to make it entertaining and are likeable, some have great energy and some humor .. I can actually see why an audience would gravitate towards them )

Skips 3 GOTY contenders in 2 months in spilt fiction, monster hunter, and kingdom come 2 but plays lost records which he hated, no one asked for, and complains about nothing good out. It's insanity. While it's true that the rate of great games coming out isn't as good as some previous gens , if he had a genuine passion for gaming there is still more than enough out there to work with and make entertaining.

Phil has never been curious or creative about anything and it really shows in his game choices.

Even when he mods games it's lame... he could have gone with a randomizer on elden ring but just went with a single overall...

It's really funny when you see his rant about games that push creativity like littlebigplanet. Really shows how he see games as just a thing to beat and not something to enjoy messing around with.

For 2 months he thought he was king shit, making fun of other streamers backgrounds, not realising that isn’t what draws the eyeballs. He even complained to Steve his window wasn’t big enough in his interview.

I will say this - these deep cover "trolls" that throw tons of money at DSP of all people are totally pathetic. If you have money and want influence and power there's a hell of a lot better places where you can use it (and it doesn't even need that much).

The fact they're spending money to get influence from a sped (DSP) to begin with is pathetic, but when you add in the fact that they're also doing this to try and influence/anger turbo speds ("detractors") it's just so much more pathetic.

These people are so peak level retarded and ineffectual in trying to gain influence and power that all they've done with their spending is pad the bank accounts of Scopely, YouTube and PayPal and get a few DSP khantent creators to make videos about them that get a few thousand views at most.

Edit: just to add the most impressive trolls are generally the ones that spend either no money at all and write something in chat that makes him sperg for 2 hours straight or those that spend the smallest amount possible (like $2 for a 2 hour sperg or the Argentinian sub gifters). I don't really care if people give him actual money that much - but if you're trying to influence shit and you're spending that much then you're a fucking tryhard. Derish and a bunch of people on the tubmleweed forums literally spent zero on him for years and had way more influence than you will ever have even if you're spending ten grand a month. Facts.

He's taken scammy chair company sponsorships, he's blown bubbles, he has spun around in his chair, he has gotten games early, he has gotten free games and he even wore a WW2 Nazi hat this one time!

Spoiler: In depth sperging of game choice

Phil's game choices always blow my mind. If I was the person in charge of Phil's schedule and deciding what games to play with the intention of sinking his business then I would run it exactly the same way he does.

1. KCD2 is a goty candidate. Very fun with tons of depth and massive potential for funny moments that could carry other peoples streams. Phil skips it.

2. Split Fiction super fun coop game that is very popular and is another possible goty candidate. To be fair Phil has no friends and Kat won't play it with him so that's out.

3. Monster Hunter immediately was given up on before it came out. This game sold 8 million copies in 3 days and is Capcom's biggest release ever. He even said it was a bad game for streaming meanwhile nearly every single person I occasionally watch is still playing it with boosted viewership and they play it with their friends and fans.

Phil chooses to play:

1. Lost Pause(I call it that cause DSP does) a very boring walking sim that he very much went into knowing he would hate. It's not like this game was even getting good reviews or anything. Took weeks to beat when it is a very short half of a game.

2. Digging a hole game. I like this game and have seen some people stream it, but it takes less then 2 hours to beat and he managed to turn it into multiple streams of wasting time.

3. Yakuza Pirate game. I love the series, but Phil pretty obviously is bored playing them and I still don't know why he pretends to be a fan. I assume because Kat is that he pretends to be. It's not a very long game. I finished it more then 2 weeks ago and my job is not playing video games. He is still fucking moving through at a snails pace.

4. Builds a lego set for multiple streams that an actual child can do in one night.

and as someone else pointed out you do not need to only be playing games that recently came out. There is so much good stuff out there that you have definitely not tried that you could go back to. He has this stoopid idea drilled into his flat/dent head that you can only play the newest hottest thing(unless he has predetermined that it will fail so he rules it out without trying it). I also think of someone like Jerma streaming some of the weirdest shit most people have never heard of or played like Seaman. You can find an audience playing really obscure weird stuff. Of course Phil can't do this because he is an unfunny boring retard, but just because he can't doesn't mean that is how it is for everybody.
