I know there was the thing where Boogie was found to be faking cancer and Keemstar lost his shit and "fired" him from the show (but it was basically just gayfabe)... but doesn't Keemstar generally treat wings and boogie a lot better than PPP/KC were treating DSP in this arc?

(I don't watch or follow lolcowlive closely enough to know - I get the sense that both wings and boogie get some financial stability/regularity out of it for relatively little work)

It will never not be funny to me that Phillip is so retarded he genuinely thought putting up some foam and some RGB lights then DMing Ninja and Maximilian was capitalising on the wave of attention KC brought him.

For 2 months he thought he was king shit, making fun of other streamers backgrounds, not realising that isn’t what draws the eyeballs. He even complained to Steve his window wasn’t big enough in his interview.

He must have felt a clown of the highest order when people like P pointed out he hadn’t capitalised on the attention at all. He really thought he had. He’s that retarded.

The thing is and everyone here knows this: DSP is just that little sideshow of the internet. Lolcows in general are a small niche so even if they suddenly get a boost most won't even know of them. While most probably know one or two DFSP memes (the guy who wanked of on stream) nobody really cares. Heck the FGC guy Buttoncheck couldn't even find Phil's channel because he thought it was called DarkSydePhil and not DSPGaming. And Mr Goutfinger thinks just because the lolcow niche suddenly watches more of him he is relevant to play in the big boys league. If he wants real attention he should try to break into Evo again. Make the FGC eat their words. But he won't because a) it costs money and b) he sucks and would get mocked endlessly. He probably would see sign s like "Get a job" or "Khet is fat" wherever he goes

My impression of it was Daniel admitted to seeing Phil as a "bad alternate outcome" of himself in many ways, and thus has a shred of sympathy for him currently?

On a different subject, I’m watching the KC stream from last night and two things strike me;

1. I never had Phil down as needy. We know he writes pages and pages when a sentence would do, but I’d never have pictured him getting angry if people weren’t replying at 4am or on their days off.

2. KC confirm what this thread was saying at the time; Phillip was completely tanking their show when he was on. It’s why they stopped having him on. He’s entertainment cancer.

i think not taking the keemstar offer was his biggest mistake in recent memory, probably as bad as moving to WA. that unironically would have been a real "resurgence" instead of whatever this kino shit was. should have taken initiative way before that and boxed someone like the other fatties did. i know it would require him to do the absolute bare minimum, but still.

The more I think about it, in my opinion I think Phil is genuinely autistic and a psychopath too. It would explain alot of his weird mannerisms and unable to have any meaningful relationships. Him being a psychopath stems from his giant ego and not being able to admit he's done anything wrong. This also does not excuse Phil for being a giant piece of shit and literally begging all the time and manipulative behavior towards people like the casino or even his own 20 fans. I'm almost certain at this point Phil's going to keep walking down the path to his own downfall.

Opportunity, maybe, but in reality he simply isn't capable of being a medium or high level entertainer. He just hasn't gotten the message yet because he has sycophants and trolls that constantly enable his delusions and he bans anyone who challenges his impression of himself.

It's great to have self-confidence but it does reach a stage where it becomes delusional and he is some weird hybrid of narcissistic and autistic. Most people learn over time and through failure that they're simply not suited to doing certain things but DSP has never technically failed - that still doesn't make him capable and he doesn't have the skills or willingness to learn how to be capable.

There is no reality in which his khantent would've ever kept up with modern trends and in competition with thousands of other creators who put in way more effort than he does and have way more interesting things to say than he ever will. They only reason he still exists is the hardcore whales. It was funny how outraged people were over people tipping a few dollars some years ago but that shit never really made much of a difference in the big picture.
