Former Trump voter here. There is no plan. Trump is just insane. He’s tearing up alliances to help support Putin, his supporters have this insane idea that protesting at a Tesla station is terrorism, and the economy is collapsing while innocent citizens are getting disappeared in foreign nations without due process because they’re just brown.

Why do people always cry "muh Russia"

Dumb question because i don't know much about politics and related fields: Can he do that?
That depends. If Trump is arguing that he can overrule Biden's pardon because Biden was not mentally well - then, no, he cannot do that. The 25th would have had to been invoked during Biden's term. If Trump, on the other hand, argues that it wasn't Biden that signed the pardons, then, yes, Trump can do that...supposing, of course, that Trump can prove that was the case. Autopen, by itself, doesn't prove much, though at least one Biden staffer came forward and said that Biden didn't sign those pardons (other staffers apparently dispute this)

I was curious about how the president can just cancel out any federal crime just because he wants to, so I did some digging into the history behind presidential pardons.

The presidential pardon is an extension of the practice that the King or Ruler could offer clemency as an “Act of Mercy”. The measure was proposed during the constitutional convention by Alexander Hamilton (thanks for that, you prick) and the first presidential pardon was issued by George Washington to the members of the Whiskey Rebellion when it was shut down.

The most notable pardons in history include Nixon pardoning James Hoffa, Gerald Ford pardoning Nixon, and Abraham Lincoln pardoning all confederate soldiers during the civil war to encourage them to desert the confederate army.

The most controversial presidential pardon, however, is when president Andrew Johnson pardoned Jefferson Davis, former president of the Confederate States of America, after the Civil War concluded.

I have not found any compelling reason why the president has this power, only that it was a holdover from the old ways of life. I can’t imagine the founding fathers expected the power to be used on pedophiles and mass murderers like what Biden did but that’s how they wrote it.

Seems like he's going for technicality to get those pardons revoked
Claiming forgery isn't a technically, it is an actual crime that would nullify any legal document. If Trump was just complaining about the autopen then it would be going for a technicality.

the blanket pardons should be revoked on the grounds that it's fucking ridiculous to say "literally anything that happened in those ten years, even stuff we aren't aware of at the time of pardoning, is pardoned".

Hunter Biden could have murdered a hooker, cut her up and ate her in 2021 and the blanket pardon would mean he gets away with it.
The power of the pardon is pretty much unlimited. I'm not against blanket pardons in principle because it is the ultimate shield against feds constantly trying to fuck you over in the courts like what they did with Trump during the Biden years. When his term is done Trump is going to need to blanket pardon himself and his family to protect them from any retribution.

I thought it meant he was going after Hunter and Fauci, which were the last pardons he put out, right? I may be wrong, the last 4-6 months have been a whirlwind of political back and forth lol
Reminder: Joe Biden was still President 8 weeks ago. His inability to speak on this matter today would pretty much seal it.

The pardon were signed and released when Biden was sitting live on camera at the Trump inauguration. We know he didn't sign them and was not present. The only remaining question is if he authorized it.

But that's not the point. It's to get the media to fall over it's self trying to disprove trump and end up explaining the auto pen has no verification or timestamps so he really can't prove when it was signed or who triggered the pen to write the signature. That alone likely gets all of them thrown out.

If it doesn't well that means trump can sign A LOT more executive orders going forward.

The pardon is working as intended, genuinely. The actual failure point here was the electorate being so braindead retarded as to spend decades putting into power the kinds of people who'd want to pardon pedo's and murderers. They're just an extension of the will of the people, who apparently are ok with the choice being what flavor of shit they want to eat the next four years, and have been for the last eighty years.

If that was the case I would gladly take a blanket pardon just so I can admit guilt for literally every crime.
Worth keeping in mind that legal immunity only extends to government action. If you admit to being a pedo, and the government decides to pardon you on being a pedo, then the public can still refuse to interact with you for being a pedo. Not so much a risk for people already with friends in high places who evidently don't care about it, but for normal people its a hell of a thing. Just look at people like Rittenhouse, deemed innocent in a court of law, still persecuted by the people for their perceptions on the matter.

Even if the pardons don’t get overturned I want the investigations to go through so we know what crimes were committed and what Biden inherently cosigns by giving out a pardon. I think they should have done this even before Trump overturned the pardons. All of the people who destroyed documents or oversaw/ordered it should also get felonies for tampering with evidence.

Which hand ought a man hold his dick with?
The right one.

"How do you do my fellow Trump voters? Aren't we all just so angry he's doing exactly what we voted for?!"

Trick question. One hand implies your dick is too small for two.
This is why I took great weapon proficiency during character creation

To be fair, avoiding government action is 80% of the work done. Public opinions can fade, you can move, etc etc. Being able to legally move and work is already miles ahead.

The only way they can possibly be overturned (and even that's a stretch) would be if they can prove Biden didn't even know about the pardons and someone else signed. I believe the President should be able to direct a proxy to turn on the autopen if a thousands docs need to be signed for example. So long as the President is aware of what is being signed in his name. Nobody really expects a modern President to sit down and sign hundreds or thousands of autographs every day, his time is too valuable.

Nothing short of a SCOTUS ruling would make Donald Trump back down from this, and even then, an unfavourable SCOTUS verdict would probably lead to Trump invoking the precedent set by Andrew Jackson flouting the SCOTUS verdict
I’m at a loss as to why no one here considers that

A) the entire media has just ignored that Fauci literally funded the COVID pandemic and lied the entire time facilitating one of the biggest crimes in human history and

B) Trump isn’t going after BIDEN. His argument has been (if you follow anything you’d know this) that not just pardons, but EO’s and legislation were done by staff that was actively hiding that Biden was unable to perform his duties. The issue is with the people using Biden.

C) and maybe most important, Trump and his team are fully aware of what is constitutional. It seems they are the ONLY ones that are. We’ve watched one circuit court judge after another publicly shit all over the constitution, the separation of powers, and subvert the will of the voters. All while the Supreme Court does absolutely nothing. So consider this might be another way to not only force the pardons of criminals like Fauci to be front and center again, but also force the Supreme Court to earn their paycheck for once.
