The Elder Scrolls

They know better than to try. A lot of Morrowind fans are insane purists who'd be impossible to please, even if they did do a good job. I used to browse all the Morrowind threads on /v/ and /vr/ and they would all shit on OpenMW for improving enemy pathing and fixing a bug where enemies wouldn't cast spells they knew (and were clearly intended by the devs for them to use).

If they remaster Morrowind its jihad time.

Which is precisely why they should do it. Insufferable More-Gamer-Than-Thou piss hoarders deserve to suffah. Let the Skyrim babbies start claiming to be their equals, and watch the malding and seething from orbit.

Imagine actually taking your business to the nexus of all places. Are there still no alternatives?
It's been long enough where you know exactly where you're going, and what you should expect.
For the last game I played a community member started a "Mod discord" for it and most modders posted on itch.io. Itch is a decent alternative in terms of freedom to post stuff and host it but it would get bad to sort through a large number of mods like for Oblivion where there are already hundreds (thousands for the older games).
It is ultimately up to modders to move there or DEG mods - people might get turned off of DEG mods because you have to install a browser extension thingy and its got complex features like public keys and shit that most people dont understand, and they might not trust installing an extension at all. I did not have a good experience trying to use based mods because the upload failed many times and then was never posted. Yet people still recommend that place for some reason - probably just ignorance and its the only alternative they heard of.
Didn't Read The Screenshot Award

I've yet to manage to get that dogshit software to actually install mods and always have to resort to doing shit manually. Thunderstore mod manager is also fucking dogshit with a similar track record for not fucking working as advertised, especially when it comes to anything Unity-related because BepInEx is also flaming dogshit that I genuinely can't get to install on anything despite always following the official guide down to the letter.
I tried to use it recently for some skyrim shit, and its just a total pain in the ass. I just wanted some simple good looking females and maybe some new spells and shit. And trying to add some "collection" is just an excuse to push their paid unlimited download speed thing because it will literally take you multiple days in free mode if the collection is huge. I hated modloaders for other games too. Mods should be a simple fucking drag and drop into the folder thing, not some layer upon layer of complexity bullshit. I think maybe some modders do that to make it "easier for idiots to install" who dont know how file directories work and they end up with financial motives, trying to protect their mods from other modders stealing their work, trying to push their stuff and make other peoples stuff incompatible on purpose, etc

Are there any alternatives to nexus mods?
itch.io and deg mods see above

All Bethesda troons have their self-esteem skyrocketing right now. This game validated them. Expect the "woke" movement to gain a lot of traction in the gaming industry from now on.
We fucking lost... THANKS TO YOU RETARDS!

To be fair to Bethesda, I think the main issue is that they don't want trannies to be angry with them. If you're going to piss off one group of people, will you pick the people who will literally murder you for saying their actual name or will you piss off the people who will just complain but tolerate your product anyway? If you piss off decent people, nothing bad will happen. If you piss off trannies, you run the risk of some mentally ill person murdering your employees or offing themselves and blaming you for their suicide.

I think the same argument works for Nexus mods as well. Its safer to piss off people who won't launch a jihad and attack everyone involved. The mods can still be available elsewhere so its not like they're removing something from existence.

I'm not saying that they're doing the right thing but I am saying that there's an alternative justification other than the belief that those 2 companies love trannies. No company likes the troon community because its a group of people who cause problems with every company they interact with.

All mentions of slavery? Removed.
Vivec is one colour. No more digital black Dunmer face.
N'wah has been replaced with "outsider". It's a more literal translation so it's lore accurate.
Quest markers? Of course we added them! Don't worry you can't turn them off, wouldn't want the modern audience to turn them off by mistake and get lost.
Quest journal directions? Nah, since we added quest markers we replaced all the writing with outdated memes and pop culture references.

When you look at them the differences between Oblivion and Skyrim arent that huge, similar limited dialogue system, radiant AI schedules, similar skills, clothing and amor availability options. They would have to build an entirely new game to modernize Morrowind, not just what more or less is a paintjob like with this thing

I'm so glad I only play the classic video games I enjoy instead of malding about new releases.

They also dumped brown paint on everything
I tried one of the reshade configuration things people recommended and it does not look good to me. Its a post processing green hue shift. I think someone could do a better job by going after all the foliage and removing yellows/browns from that, and then removing the fog. And the reshade makes the (very good looking) lanterns at night look TERRIBLE.

it's going to take a while until other sites take the power from nexus granted they aren't attacked and spammed with shit to get the hosts to drop them.

Doubt it, this uses UE5 where as i believe ES6 uses the same creation engine starfield does. It's nostalgia bait and while I was somewhat excited, I'm less excited now its out
Switching to UE5 for a studio that already has a proprietary in-house engine isn't unheard of, to be fair. CDPR is switching to UE5 for The Witcher 4 and the next Cyberpunk, even though Red Engine is their own and made in-house.

I wouldn't be surprised if so many of the old guard of Bethesda, who knew how the Creation Engine functioned, have fucked off or retired. Starfield was a disaster and even Fallout 4 felt like they were stretching the engine to its limits.
