For American Vtubers as of 4/23/2024 it doesn't matter what company they're coming from they can start work immediately. The FTC banned noncompetes which would be the clause they would try to use to delay them transitioning to their new personas. That being said they can still be kept quiet regarding their past lives thru trade secret laws or any NDA they signed. As long as they stay in their lane and dont badmouth the company or talk about their business model there's no legitimate risk of lawsuit and should be no issues.

The literal day before Nano, under pressure from Sinder and Redacted, cancelled Silver's new model on her.

Maybe it's just because I've never gazed into the abyss of the beauty parlor but I'm just amazed at the heights of "woman moment" this is all reaching. I'd probably think this was all just some schizo rrat if everyone and their brother didn't just keep dumping receipts.

That was clearly the original plan but since multiple people called out the fact he was not just a manager but her boyfriend as well she will need to do more than that to appease anyone. My guess would be the I'm stepping away from content creation for a while and getting therapy schtick.

The FTC ruling banning noncompetes has been locked in legal battles since it was announced. The current administration seems to want that rule to die as they've stopped the FTC appealing the decisions that initially challenged it.

Having read through what's been going on and Nanoless' Google Doc, as well as those insisting we wait for Synder to give a "proper" response, I will say this; if she tries to downplay or distance herself further from what's going on, she's effectively finished, even with her current simps.

On top of that, those that think she had no idea what her bf/manager RED was doing, keep in mind that in the VTubing space, managers are brought on, not only to help setup and maintain streams and schedules, they also speak, act and conduct business on your behalf. If they don't, then what's the point of having a manager.

Basically, if she's going to try to claim ignorance on what RED was doing, it looks worse for her since it would mean she isn't doing her due diligence and checking in on what said manager is up to.

The alternative isn't any better since, in that sense, she knew what was going on with what RED was doing and either let it happen or directed him on what to say and to who.

If this situation feels even the slightest bit familiar to y'all, I will remind you that this has SHADES of what Bunny Ayumi and Bahroo did to Layna. Basically, assholes backstabbing their way to the top.

Where she responds talking about the back and forth from Nano as well as explaining RED's motivations. Both are things she wouldn't be able to do if she were ignorant of the communications.

So not only would it look bad to try and claim ignorance because as you said it would make her seem negligent, It seems like an angle that could easily just be pointed to to say she's lying with stuff like this out there.

I don't think this was brought up, so I apologize if it was, but during Mumei's members stream yesterday she said that while her cough is affecting her, that people are using it as the reason she's leaving upsets her. She made VERY clear that if it was just the cough she would have stayed, and that is is her issues with management that's why she left. She gave examples too: They nearly didn't send her her fan mail even though she pestered them numerous times and they would say they sent it only to go "whoops, we didn't. Tee hee". Her million sub wish was for a 3d outfit she never got and gave up on. She wishes she could elaborate more but can't. So yeah: like I said and continue to say - Cover has serious management issues they have NOT fixed and don't really seem all that eager to fix either. If you have a good manager or live in Japan everything is great. If you don't, it's really bad.

She said people acting like she was on deaths door or dying bothered her, not that people are citing it as a reason she's leaving (she herself listed it as one in her own announcement, be pretty silly to say it herself and then turn around and be unhappy people took her word for it)

The other stuff yeah, logistical issues with staff is something we've heard a good bit of over the years, a holdup on sending her her mail falls pretty well in line with other shit like that that's happend (Altaire's home 3d equipment) and her 1m Wish got delayed at which point she gave up on it because she said she had already decided on her graduation when they even told her about the delay saying basically "well I'm graduating so nevermind anyway" (keep in mind she only hit 1m in january of last year, and Bae's talked about Mumei knowing she was graduating for a very long time, this doesn't leave a very big window for when this model was supposed to be done, to when she decided to graduate meaning whatever delay that was couldn't have been that long off)

Definitely problems, but also definitely not nearly as dramatic as you tend to make them sound (the sky is falling, they're fixing nothing, if only you knew how bad it is!) as you have a track record of in the times you touch on these topics with talents you personally enjoy.
