It’s more that they’re anti-male and were initially for feminizing (and theoretically pacifying) men, but realized that that’s not quite how it works and that abolishing gender means abolishing female spaces as well as male spaces, and thus they now try to backtrack on it. Note the difference in tone when they talk about FtM vs MtF trannies.

It's not just boomers. Even a couple years ago I had friends in the 35-45 year old range asking me about trans because they know I pay attention to current goings on where as they don't. Some of them only learned about it because their kids were told about it in school. A a fair number in that age range where I live aren't old enough to care about legacy media where pro/anti narratives get pushed and got fed up with social media to the point where they gave it up before trannies became mainstream.

It got shoved in their face so hard from every angle they were forced to form an opinion and that opinion was less favorable than I thought it would be. I get that I'm in a relatively unique postion and this whole tranny debacle is just another reason I'm glad I settled where I did.

If they ever did a referendum on tranny issues they’d be destroyed and they know it. A lot of older democrats would not vote for it.

A similar and related thing we see with the social justice lynch mobs -- the "virtue spiral." See, you don't get credit for being just as anti-racist as everyone else. You have to be MORE anti-racist to get clout and asspats. So this is why you see them call out people and situations and activist all over people -- they want to stand out from the crowd. But the crowd simply moves forward to meet them -- remember, they literally can't understand the idea of going too far, and they're all social media clout chasers -- which changes the status quo. This repeats until you start seeing Antifa types setting off pipe bombs (should be starting sometime this summer if history repeats) "for the cause."

Anyone who does it for the democrat establishment will get a pardon from a democrat president once they have office again.
