It’s fun to see old clips and remember that Chinny had flashes of humor, but truly, I feel like the Kuwait arc hasn’t been any more boring than the Canada arc was. For those of us who were there, we remember that the flashes of humor and fun were just that-flashes in a series of long, boring eating streams. I
our clippers and recappers, because even back in the Nader days I could barely sit through a full stream waiting for the funny moments. We’ve had funny stuff in Kuwait too, especially in Thailand.
Being in Kuwait has quieted her raunchy side but everything else is still the same. She eats on camera. Gets mad at reactors. Now it’s a hijab, then it was a turtleneck. (When she found out we Kiwis were calling her Chinny she was determined to cover them up by any means possible; overcoat, sweater, turtleneck, fake hair.) She was so ashamed of her nickname that we are probably responsible for this Muslim beeze.
Anyway, just don’t get hopes too high when she goes back to Canada. Even if she gets back to that level of crazy, there’s a whole lot of eaiting to sit through first.
And now my prediction: she’s still in Kuwait. If she was back safe in Canada she’d be arguing all over the internet that all she was doing was saving an almost dead kitten and she should be anointed a saint. Her silence tells us where she is. She has likely been told to stay put while they investigate and Salah has made her understand the seriousness of what is happening. Whether he had to lock her in a room and slide ice cream under the door or she is actually scared enough to exhibit self-control, we won’t know until she’s safely home. And she’ll go home, I doubt they’ll stone her or imprison her. She’ll be deported on her dime and told never to come back, and Salah is SOL. Which we could have told him 3 years ago.
I don’t recall Salah begging on stream but if he did, he could end up in Syria. I doubt it tbh. I don’t think Kuwait wants this to become newsworthy and all these fat biddies sending in messages are going to make them want it handled quick.
