I’m not convinced that’s the case. Very early in the Dee Dee timeline she spoke about how her mothers pension didn’t cover the entire cost of her expensive private nursing home, to the extent that both Dee Dee and her brother had to make regular payments to meet the balance. While we all know Dee Dee is as big a liar as Nader and Foodie, this does ring true as to why after losing her job, Geraldine was removed from there and bought to the condo. Not only would that save Dee Dee the extra expense, but it likely gave Nader a government benefit as her full time carer.

I know there was speculation back then about this , but if she did have 250k worth of assets, why were DeeDee & her brother each paying $1k a month?

I don't know if any of this was confirmed. But I'm 100 percent sure DD and Nader got money out of making Geraldine live with them. She would've had some form of pension at the very least.

Nader had lots of crackheads and unstable BPD swingers to abuse. He wouldn't move an old lady into that tiny 1 bedroom apartment unless he was getting more out of it than simply a victim to abuse.
