Being a parent needs to require a license and having one illegally gets you shot in the back of the head Jesus christ. That kid is going to be neglected like shit, I just read an article that almost no kids get read to at bed anymore because their dipshit gen z parents find it "boring". Imagine an infant/kid wanting to play or go to a park or do anything with these freaks when you can't spend 15 minutes not playing the exact vidya you want?
The fact there's fully grown adults out there (let alone parents) that are LITERALLY incapable of just sitting quietly is TERRIFYING (also ignoring she has a thing in her pocket which literally contains all of the knowledge in the world). This world is cooked
This scenario is notable with Kayla in particular because if you read almost every single one of her anon responses, particularly the ones that are longer than a paragraph, she showcases that she can't fucking read, herself and "elects" to only reply to one specific part of the anon/question. Pre-newborn, she had several freakouts about how people are selfish and completely unrealistic by expecting/wanting RP replies to be longer than three sentences and how she ain't got time for all'a that, when it's obvious that she can neither pay enough attention to read the entirety of a reply that long, but she's also so talentless in something that she's done as a hobby "for over a decade" that she can't even be arsed to write that much in response.
(This is a tangent) She apparently had an RP partner that indulged in her half-assed replies like she wanted but after dragging them through the mud because they weren't good enough for her, I imagine they ditched her so now she's alone and has no one to RP with either, which is another contributing factor for her whining that no one's helping her with her self-imposed problems.
I don't think she actually owns any books, and if she does, I missed them in her "hanging lights" picture of her room she posted a few months ago (because they've been living in their apartment for, what, three years now and she just got around to unpacking a box). Mommy and auntie are also physically disabled to the point where Kayla showed off her rollator and mentioned that Beth has to use a cane to get around sometimes so getting to run around in the park with them is a no-go, not to mention Beth has a phobia of crowds.
Everything about both of them suggests "hey maybe you shouldn't have a kid" but here we are.
Edit: Case in point
I dunno, Kayla, it's the same way that one could ask "how is "reading others' writing an invaluable tool because it's not about the specific subject, it's about the style and inspiration to improve your own" so hard to understand". The fact that you don't get inspiration from other media is incredibly telling in your own inability to create things, especially since you turn around and you're like "I exclusively like modern/at the time/cringe idol AUs", all of which are creatively bankrupt as concepts.
It's interesting (read: very typical) that the birth of your daughter (which I assume they're comfortable calling daughter because Kayla and Beth are both women and Kayla in particular is completely obsessed with girly aesthetics so "Fable Rain II" will make a perfect dress-up doll) brought in a LOT of extra attention towards you and you're getting butthurt because you couldn't keep your stupid fucking mouth shut for an hour while you were having a public freakout at the hospital. Not that that changes literally anything because two days ago, when your daughter may or may not have been home, you were STILL pitching a bitch fit and BEING WILLING TO PAY SOMEONE ACTUAL FUCKING MONEY for "advice" on your stupid, stupid,
stupid problems.
Edit 2: One week old. This is gonna go great.
Re: lack of OP— I've started putting together a draft, just in case anyone else is unwilling. However, if anyone is interested,
here is a link to a summary of the early days. You don't have to scroll too far from there to see some examples of Kayla's...early work.
I would - God knows I waste enough time, braincells and top hats on Kayla's thread in specific - but I'm worried that I'd fuck it up
