So he's been constantly swatted all year but not really?
I thought "Swatting" just meant the cops got sent to your house because a troll said so, similar to when Jim gets a "visitor" during his streams. Does a swatting need to have guns in your face worst scenario?

Aight, lemme get this straight.
You genuinely believe that the "Stop Killing Games" initiative will have a substantial say in the future of Cybernetic Implants, including prosthetic eyes; therefore *checks notes* it is disrespectful for videogamer and initiative-spreader Rossman to be interacting with his cat on-stream?

Am I getting that about right?
I genuinely believe that a law passing to ensure that one type of online service is mandated to ensure it can be run after its developers decided to shut down official servers, can set a precedence to ensure that other type of online service is mandated to ensure it can be run after its developers decided to shut down official servers. In the end it's all about server source code. Him just leaving Scott hanging after the latter finishes his sentence, to play with his own cat is disrespectful, no questions about that.

You don't think that your five senses are probably going to hold a different level of seriousness to the "Stop Killing Games" initiative? That's wild.

Mald's discord mod Maggie dropped a few interesting tidbits earlier when discussing his ongoing tribulations:

She claims Jason's been continuously swatted, lol. Another discord regular (but not a mod) popped in and said this unchallenged:

So he's been constantly swatted all year but not really?
Mags implies here that Jason's been living on the poverty line his entire stream caree
Poverty level? Gimme a fuckin break man. Dude lives in a mansion and has an animal rescue. That fat whale of a mod is probably just running PR for him. Anyone willing to work for Mald is either dimwitted or amoral.

And if by some miracle he is broke, then he's dumber than I thought. Fucking hope he dies.

If he's been getting "swatted all year", then it's not as a result of the SKG resurgence. That's only been about a week.

He may want to stop whining about mysterious forums alleged to have body counts, and start throwing shade at Hardcore WoW streamer fans.

GAMERS RISE UP

EU Citizen's Initiative STOP KILLING GAMES has obtained the needed one million signatures to start industry negotiations for mandatory video game end-of-life clauses.

However, the vile DARTH MALDAVIUS has victory within his grasp. If they audit the petition and remove enough signatures to sink it below 1 million all will be lost.

In order for General ROSS SCOTT to secure a lasting victory it must pass with a safe margin! But how long until he can do so is unknown...

PiRaped Software.webp

I wonder if we can have PiRaped Software as a smilie. I mean, that expression is just too good lol

I wish you were right, because then this initiative would be unnecessary. But we already have precedent rulings and case law for other industries saying that you cannot sell a service or product and then just disable that product or announce the service is now gone and you have to sign up for service 2: return of service. And as you've seen yourself, that existing case law didn't just carry over to video games.

Now we need to push for 1.4 baby. Wonder if Pirate is gonna comment now, or wait 6 months to spin this.
Bold of you to assume he's going to have a career in 6 months. This is some peak ego death material right here. All of his credibility is down the shitter on top of being a POS so obnoxious that it brought together several hundred thousand people across multiple nations to strike down an initiative he tried to play sleeper agent for.

I've got my fingers crossed for narcissistic rage, the content would be great

I feel like if EU comity decides to discuss the potential regulation, they will keep in mind that devs can try to weasel out of it that way. Both USB-C connector requirement and replaceable battery requirement laws have been constructed with that in mind. EU has better track record when it comes to technology regulations than I expected of them.
