I feel like he's gonna try to pivot his brand. Some spin about "growing" or he's finally pursuing some passion he's "had for years" that he conveniently never mentioned before.

Because you're correct, his career as it is now is over. Nobody wants to collab with him his brand is radioactive.

I hope he pivots to IRL streaming.. my god there would be so much content.

Anyone with more knowledge about this guy gonna give some odds on the next stream of his? Will it be full ego mald or is he gonna try and do the "I'm not going talk about this" bs. Feel like his self-righteousness is gonna win out because he can't physically stop himself from trying to spin this to his own benefit. Either way it's gonna be good for a laugh.

I don't doubt that maybe Jason would perhaps think quitting would take heat off of him if the whole SWATing thing is true. It would make sense. But I also can see that Jason would have easily stuck in his trench ferret hole for as long as he could. I still think the SWATing thing is a false oh woe is me scenario but seeing his discord people say that they never busted in, I think I could believe at least that form.

But then that asks the question, is it really SWATing if they don't bust in ala Keffals scenario? If they just knocked on his door, is it really that bad?

As for Jason being at "poverty level". Now? Oh probably with his loss at offbrand. But I'm still asking what the fuck his budgeting is. I'm not naive, I don't think any of us are, Twitch and Youtube obviously can't pay the bills unless you're insanely huge and constantly having people show up for your videos/streams. But there's the question someone else back in thread who brought up a good point: Unless Jason lays off his hugbox mods, is he really broke? Who's he paying to help with Discord, Twitch, and his game? Do they just do it for the love of it? Sorry if all of this was already discussed, the thread moves so fast it's kinda hard to keep up.

I would go as far as saying they also need to identify when it becomes abandonware or when the source code will be distributed (less proprietary stuff) as well as art assets etc.

So many fucking games are just locked away because of this basically forever.

Pretty sure it still is, yeah. It's just calling the police on someone frivolously to cause them trouble. The consequences can vary, but the ATF don't need to have shot at least one dog in your home for it to quality.
