Some people get shocked into reality and a healthy perspective after losing a loved one or having a health scare. Reminds me of a documentary I watched about people jumping off of bridges and surviving, they all regretted it and realized in that moment that whatever they were dealing with, this wasn’t the way to solve it.

I just needed to talk about this with someone but I didn’t want to show anyone IRL. I know what she did was incredibly stupid but my god, what a price to pay.

I feel like the worst part of her 'setting myself on fire' story, was when she explained that the only thing she could hear was static, "like an off tuned TV station."
It didn't seem to have occurred to her/sunken in yet, that the sound she was hearing was the same ksssshhhh sound you hear when you drop a steak into a hot pan...
It was literally her face/head frying...

Yeah, I guess it’s a delicate balance if you’re set on doing it. You have to find somewhere public enough that it will get media attention but not so public that you’ll be saved in time. I feel bad for the person who found her, that’s a fucked up day.

She should’ve stuck to pretending to boycott Starbucks like the others…

She Definitely didn't expect to survive.
The whole time she was frying she was thinking "ok, one more breath and I'll be dead and the pain will end, just one more breath and I'll be dead and the pain will end.." She was very upset to find she'd survived, but eventually found something to live for.
Horrifying.

Here is a question for the girls/women in here, as I am guessing half or more of the users who read this thread are female. I am not, so I have no direct experience with this.

Has this thread and others likely inoculated you from the pooner social contagion that has become an epidemic at the moment? Outsiders not familiar with our forum like to bag on how "transphobic" threads like these are, but I think that they are actually a positive thing in helping keep people who read them grounded in reality and to stay away from hormone fuckery and the SRS chop-shop.

I grew out of my gender dysphoria decades before it was considered 'normal' so when it became what it is today, I already knew most kids would grow out of it.
By the time it was a movement, I was vehemently against it. KiwiFarms was just the only place I could talk after I got banned from nearly everywhere else.

She strikes me as a legitimate autist, and an unfortunate feature of autists getting sucked into activist movements is that a very large chunk of them do not realize that the non-autistic activists around them are almost always performative, superficially interested and involved in their "activism", and completely full of shit. Also, if you embarass them, as autists tend to do, they will completely abandon you. It's always been my opinion that this is how Trigglypuff came to be.

I haven't read this thread for a good while, been busy. But recently, after never encountering a pooner and thinking they were extremely rare, I've somehow had TWO pooners get hired at my job! How the fuck does that happen? I have no one and nowhere else to vent about this with, so you guys will have to bear with me rudely butting in the thread like this...

The first one has wispy peachfuzz stache and for whatever reason still wears skirts and dresses to work, but does not shave her legs. She has a girlfriend, I have no idea if this one is also trans too or what. I misgendered her a lot the first week or so of knowing her but had to correct myself. Now I have to refer to it as "him" or "they" at all times. It sucks but whatever. She apparently is a theatre nerd who plays male characters on stage. Besides that though, she doesn't come off as male very well, and seemingly puts no effort in that.

I remember meeting her father and thinking he was like a caricature of a Redditor. He wore a N94 face mask, was super techy, spoke about Marvel movies.

It was already hard enough with one pooner but now a second one has been hired. Fuck my life. I am very interested in seeing how they interact with each other though. Do pooners get jealous of each other or what?
