DSP could be a millionaire right now, even after all the WWE spending and stupid decisions he's made but he actively fights against it because he's not well.

Phil has seen at LEAST $2 million dollars in his lifetime, however, it goes back to this black and white thinking. What do I mean by that? I mean Phil only thinks of the present moment and the past aka "the people that screwed me over". When an issue is presented before him, it's "Future me can worry about that." Phil has ALWAYS had a spending issue, even going back to when he was working at the helicopter company. He used to brag he used to spend HUNDREDS of dollars on scratchers every two weeks. Not the $1 ones, God no. I mean the $10-20 scratchers and he would only win about $20-30 after spending $200+ on them. Hell, this is also the same idiot that cashed out his 401K in 2009 because he was scared the world economy was going to go back to the bartering system.

He once told his Machinima contact at the time about what his future plans were, he told them "Uh, make more content." He truly pulled the "I want to retire with you guys." card, even when the writing is on the wall that it's not a forever thing. Phil failed to see that early YouTubers made their money, either got jobs in their respected industry - iJustine comes to mind, oh wait! She got a job at EA because she gangbanged her way into her role, duh - or said "I've done everything I could and I'm going to go do something else."

Phil could've EASILY paid off the CTKhando during his early years, just pay the HOA, property taxes, and insurance. He could've lived in a place that he didn't have to pay a mortgage. He could've put a nice chunk of money into a Roth IRA account, a high yield savings account, and do something else. However, Phil just saw green, thought that ride would never end, and when it did, it went straight to begging social retards for their SSI/SSDI checks.

Also, the begging has been OFF the fucking CHARTS as of late. Not even during the "Save the House" goal has this been this levels of begging.

However, big brain Burnell thought it'd be a good idea to just say "Fuck it, I'm moving to a state I have zero job prospects in, my aunt used to rave about how awesome Washington is, it has no state income tax, and I can be happy." with a shrinking income on top of that, also. Not realizing no matter where you go, there you are.

I know this was already posted but the phrase "the universe has made a sequel to Darksydephil" only gets funnier the more I think about it, and I think this is the kind of dig that really gets Phil, because when it's someone like Kino Casino or ItsAGundam, he just does the pussy move of acting like he's above it and they're obsessed even though he has spent a significant amount of time shitting on them. Here it's a big name mentioning him for two seconds and only as a punchline, so he can't cry that he's used to get views because he's a quick mention and quickly forgotten. and that really makes him mad since it's a reminder of how the world truly thinks of him, as a joke but not even worth getting invested into, just a quick laugh AT him.

Mostly unrelated but it reminds me of his react to Mr. Metokur's video by Joon the King. He was BAFFLED that Mr. Metokur's video was not about him and tried his absolute hardest to make it all about himself, only to ultimately fail because even when his face was on screen, it wasn't even addressed. He was waiting for his chance to "explain" his rich history with Metokur only to never be mentioned by name.

I like the idea of Crime and Punishment but it's Phil and he still somehow dies thinking he did nothing wrong, he did everything correct.

I struggle to understand why he does the fake laugh so much when not a single person on the planet thinks it’s real. It’s an awful look.

My guess is the person coaching him has told him to ‘laugh off’ the trolling and he’s taking it too literally.

I saw someone on twitter make a joke about this where DSP does a prestream like PirateSoftware where he does a sandwich shop analogy by first drawing a box and writing "Sandwich shop" under it and then drawing multiple tiny boxes and writing "sandwiches" under it, the tweet was capped off with "I know this because I worked at Sikorsky." Fuck I wish I could find it because when I first read it I doubled over laughing until my stomach hurt.

I find that hard to believe. Phil basically believes he invented the internet, he invented food reviews, he invented short-format videos, he invented let's plays, he brought the Yakuza series to the west, he inspired Pewdiepie so he's by proxy the biggest gaming content creator that ever lived. While I don't doubt what you say, I just have trouble thinking how can one up him. Phil has the ego of Michael Jordan or Salvador Dali but with absolutely nothing to back it up, not even his precious 4th place at EVO on PS1 Super Turbo.

Phil's delusions of grandeur are on the same level of Chris Chan by now. Even the biggest lolcows (even Chris Chan himself) show some glimpses of self awareness from time to time. Phil is an entirely different thing.

This is a problem a lot of people have, and some of us have a theory that while Phil wasn't exactly "run out of Connecticut," there's the idea that whoever he did interact with in some sort of regular basis, didn't like him. If you remember, the plan was he and Leanna were gonna go to like 3 different places and look around; Washington, Texas, and Florida. They went to Washington first, looked at like 5 different houses, spent a lot of money on restaurants and other shit and decided this was the place. He even ran his mouth at times about how Washington is full of gay liberals (not an exact quote, but you know what he meant). He put in exactly how much effort and research you expect him to, but he's out of Connecticut and thus better for it... in a house that's falling apart and with a bathroom he cannot use.

As an aside, you see this a lot with shut-in weebs who don't understand Japan isn't going to change everything. You're a shut-in in the USA, you'll be a shut-in in glorious Nippon; only now you probably don't speak the language and don't understand the culture or laws.

Just going by the decade plus of watching him; he makes noise to fill gaps. Whether it's singing or laughing or going off on stupid tangents, he makes noise to make noise.

If you remember, the plan was he and Leanna were gonna go to like 3 different places and look around; Washington, Texas, and Florida.

Leanna wanted Florida, I believe, but she was mainly focused on getting with the Youtube celebrity. Imagine Phil in Texas or Florida climates... there's no way in hell he was going to choose living there. Location didn't matter, though. Moving itself was a stupid decision at the time. He only did it because Leanna demanded it for a real relationship. This was 2014 when Phil still was somewhat human. He knew Youtube wasn't going to last forever, and his numbers were already declining. Watch the vlogs back then, you could tell how uneasy he was, and I believe even said a few times that this was a mistake.

Then Phil became a streamer shut-in soon after, he turned into this weird alien with the autism vortex surrounding him and the rest is history.
