What's more likely is they might have realized with half a month to go, it looked like it was already "done" causing a slowdown in gaining signatures or something. There's been so many panic attacks over that page it's kind of ridiculous. If Mald were deploying a botnet for hundreds of thousands of signatures it would have boosted countries that didn't require entering correct information to even submit a signature in the first place, which didn't happen.

First all the writing for Animus is done, then all that's left for Animus is the writing, then the writing is pretty much done and it's time to "implement" whatever he thinks that means.

Also, now that I've seen HarmfulOpinions' runthrough of the game, the patch notes look absolutely hilarious. If you don't know any better, it looks like this could be various choices to make at critical sections of an RPG.
