I don’t know much about leaf law but in the US he could get very serious time here because he has a prior violent conviction. It might not matter as much that she doesn’t testify if they have video evidence. I’d assume they’d offer him some plea deal for less time but where he is deported and cannot recenter Canada for ten years or something.
