Errr, why would that make it inadmissable?
Hey ho... first post on the site.
In a phrase, "Trial by media." Between possible issues with chain of custody of the evidence and possibly prejudicing any conceivable jury anyone you'd want to go after would be utterly idiotic not to demand, you can basically screw the case and make everyone get off scot free, OJ style, if stuff goes public before trials happen and facts can get hammered out in a court of law. I would presume we actually want people jailed.
Which is a good segue into me putting on some tinfoil...
C: There are people in the files that had nothing to do with child raping but were on the island to do business with epstein (which was his entire strategy for getting dirt on people) and trump knows that spastic retards on internet forums will not understand the different and that bloodthirsty monsters in DC who are out for blood will intentionally pretend not to understand the difference.
D) If it’s public it’s inadmissible as evidence.
I say there's a possible option E) here for why we haven't gotten a release. Trump is a patsy to a coverup that happened years ago. Though to be clear, I don't think he's special in all this. He's just the guy who got to the trapped bag first, and no one was necessarily targeted in particular. Assuming this theory holds, it's an insurance policy to kill the story and rope the poor sod trying to reveal things into covering things up by necessity.
Realistically, the list is absolutely radioactive, and I doubt Epstein was entirely under anyone's thumb here. So I'm more inclined to think the powers that be want any list or evidence thereof he was keeping rendered inert. You could shred the docs... but then you'd need to dispose of the shredded evidence. It'd be better if you could render them unusable somehow, and all you'd theoretically need to do is mess with some evidence seals, transparently doctor recordings, flagrantly break chain of custody, shit on the evidence in general, so on and so forth, but make it as obvious as possible while casting as much doubt on the integrity of the whole case as you can by making it as hard as possible to isolate any tampered evidence from clean evidence by making ANYTHING suspect. You accomplish three big things this way.
1. You basically just need one FBI agent alone in the room with the evidence, a boxcutter, and maybe some forms to mess with, USB drives with junk data, or troll notes to put in files.
2. You don't need to delete anything and figure out how you're gonna explain that without making another conspiracy or worry about paper trails. Quite the opposite, the goal is to hide this forest with some trees, so you leave behind all the paper with trails that lead nowhere.
3. You make whoever wants to reveal anything subject to a Catch 22. Either they go to court with a case that is fundamentally fucked and exonerate everyone with the ruined evidence, or they drop the files, get sued into oblivion with defamation suits, and whatever they release gets buried anyways because they can't appeal to the truth to defend themselves as that would require a trial for their fundamentally criminal allegations to establish fact with.
Whoever would ultimately open this up to start going after it is not gonna know how screwed it is until you've combed through the whole thing, stepped on the nuclear landmine that is being the last thing paving over the coverup, and just lost any conceivable thing to submit to people. Best you could do is try to buy time and pray to God you can find a way to ensure all the good shit is actually admissible, but who knows if that's even doable let alone what time-frame that'll happen under.
Considering the FBI's had this for 6 years and their record for being absolutely, totally, 100% incorruptible-we-assure-you is well known, it's not exactly out there to suggest some Agent Doe whose record has long since been pretty expunged got a fat pension and a one-way ticket to the Bahamas in exchange for cutting some evidence seals and vandalizing the case. There's just not much you'd need to actually do in order to fuck with everything. At least if you're asking me.
