I've noticed that ever since the success of The Dark Knight, it has been cool to hate on any superhero/comic book adaptation that goes for a more serious angle and embrace campy stuff largely out of contrarian spite. Which isn't to say that you can't enjoy both, but I have a feeling that Bob and Dobby's love for that show has something to do with that mindset.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm sort of looking forward to his TMNT video just to see how he shoehorns his masturbatory geopolitical revenge fantasies into the franchise.

(Also fftopic: but I think that the best way to fix the TMNT franchise is to make a Netflix series that's based off the current IDW run, which is really good from what I've read IMO.)
