I blame these dogshit Taylor Sheridan soap operas like Yellowstone. I liked drawing a lot , but instead of taking interest in it with me I got “ what , you think you’re going to be an artist or something.” It’s like “ No Asshole , it’s just something I enjoy doing with my free time, thanks for the support.” It was always about keeping up appearances. Im grateful I learned what I don’t wanna be like from my parents.

Seriously, one of the main reasons I haven't had kids yet is because I KNOW as a parent I will have to sacrifice my interests, hobbies and dreams for theirs and I'm not quite ready to do that yet as there is still one or two things I have left to do first. I imagine a lot of zoomers and millennials feel the same way.

In Germany, Mett is among our national dishes. It is actual raw meat with added salt and spices. Still, trichinosis is not a thing because we have a mandatory trichinella inspection before taking the pig to the shambles. We have fewer than five cases of trichinosis per year.

Replace subculture with the word 'lifestyle' and you have what we have today.

Neets, for example, Id consider a subculture with things like girlfailure, incels, etc.

Even gymbros have a culture of their own, you have esoteric twitter, dudebroweed joe rogan types, etc

With subcultures, it used to be that they were more constigated to physical places (all these are online), fashion defined, and the ethos was geared towards something. Punk was DIY and anti-prep. Goth has a worship of the concept that we are mortal and all things end, emo was, to get to south park, nihilistic or cynical, or is that goth? etc.

You look at many of these lifestyles and you see the same people throughout them, same personalities, same hobbies or interests, same way of speaking, etc. If theyre not subcultures, we need to redefine the term.

The problem is that music used to be integrally tied to subculture, and now it no longer is.

I used to think websites are what defines subcultures today (le redditor, le epic 4channer), but maybe its something like meme format instead, or political niche.

Back in the eighties in America there were a whole bunch of moral panics around foodborne illness. Everyone believed all the pork had trichinosis, all the eggs had salmonella, and all the beef had bovine spongiform. It's why we got meat industry catchphrases back then like "It's what's for dinner!" and "The other white meat!" as the beef and pork industry tried to run cultural interference over what was basically urban legends that got carried away in supermarket tabloids and daytime talk shows.

Even though all of it was mostly baseless, it still led to a lot of booms having irrational fears about it for decades afterwards. Only very recently has my own dad finally stopped cooking hamburgers on the grill all the way down until they look like hockey pucks.

tulsa king was amusing at first because of the whole "rocky goes west" gimmick and when they actually filmed it in tulsa. then it just became really aimless and everybody complained about the heat and production costs in oklahoma so now it's all done on sound stages in atlanta so what's the fucking point.
 
Sheridan's stuff tries to wear the veneer of something based and redpilled but hicklibs it the fuck out. And a lot of the dialogue doesn't land because it's just non-stop oneliners and monologues rather than any build up to something that would stick. He tries to do too much at once and also seemingly does the boomercon thing of trying to appeal to less red blooded sensibilities. It's just pure cringe. I wish I could've enjoyed it more but nothing can exist in current year without being completely nerfed by jews and boomers being giga retarded.
 
I was thinking of defending boomer drivers but then today I encountered one, some senile old faggot going 35 and sometimes even slower in a 50. Can we include MSG in that category as well? I never knew what the stuff was, but remember being a kid in the '80s and '90s and the adults were always talking about it when mentioning Chinese food. I also remember labels on food saying "No MSG" like it was a bonus feature, or how menus at restaurants mentioned they don't use MSG. As far as I remember, it's basically just a type of salt ingredient, but Boomers had a panic over it (sort of like how gluten was for Millennials in the 2010s).
 
I hate how boomers take no care for their health, other than going to the doctor to get pills they are incapable of doing something as simple as exercise to feel better, I have old family members that have hip pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, you name it, and when I tell them that after years of exercising and consuming information about the topic I can help them, and that all they need to do is to put some effort, their default response is: "NOOO!! I HAVE ARTRITIS, I CAN'T DO THAT!!"; explaining to them that our body is a biological organism that adapts to the stimuli we provide by developing adaptions is a waste of time, they will never do stretches for their knees, lower back or hips because that requires effort.

I know that this criticism can apply to people of all generations, the thing is that statistically boomers exercise at a much lower rate than young people, the old James Bond actor was a dude that looked like he never did a push up.
