Several parents in the Lake Shore Central school district in West New York have complained about issues with EV school buses. They drive without heat since using heat drains battery charge, and another EV bus broke down and kids had wait outside for over 30 minutes for a substitute bus:

And Geely VP Chen Zheng has criticized the Chinese automotive industry for all using the same interior layout of a small instrument panel, large central control screen, and flat-bottom steering wheel, even though Geely is also using that same copycat design. / Archive

375,000 plug in hybrid Jeeps recalled due to fire risk

And just like that, Stellantis has killed off their 4xe PHEV models, so they just threw money in the trash to create those turds of drivetrains.

And BYD is launching yet another sub-brand, Linghui, to use them for ridesharing use and to avoid defaming their other brands. So we now have BYD's base brand, Fang Cheng Bao as their SUV brand, Denza as their mainstream luxury brand ala BMW/Mercedes/Audi, Yangwang as their high-end performance/luxury brand ala Ferrari/Bentley/Lamborghini without their respective legacies, and now Linghui for ridesharing.

In another move to pander to a specific gaymographic, Polestar (Formerly Volvo's, now Geely's) is now repeating "progressive" rhetoric, such as:

"Choose ignoring the science"
"Choose conquering Mars (good luck with that)"
"Choose denial"

And of course, the Be Better message closes it all off. Apparently, taking chinkshit over homegrown American tech is something to be proud of.
Could EVs get anymore faggotey? We shall never know.

Canada decided to let Chinese EVs into their country to spite Trump:

Gotta show recurring revenue to the shareholders!

The $8k one-time option isn't better either, since it takes 7 years for it to catch up with the subscription cost for the same period, and it doesn't transfer to the new owner if you sell your Tesla later on.

Now's as good a time as any to remind everyone that somehow, Tesla is the ONLY Western automaker that's even allowed to operate in China without signing over half of their operations to a Chinese domestic joint venture.

When Western automakers want to set up shop in China, they're usually not allowed to have full control over their own operations there. Since China is still a Communist government with a centralized planned economy (no matter how much they want the world to think they've embraced capitalism), any automaker that wants to do business in China is forced into setting up a joint venture with a domestic brand (i.e. Changan Ford, Dongfeng Nissan, FAW-VW, Wuling GM, etc.), which is required by Chinese law to own at least 50% of the joint venture. This is partly so that the CCP can keep their tight grip on the auto sector, and also in part so that domestic brands can steal technology from these Western car brands and undercut them in the world market. How do you think BYD became a "world-class" EV brand in less than 20 years? It's all thanks to technology stolen from Western brands (like Tesla itself).

But, even with Elon Musk's current stances, he'll still line up to lick the shit off of Xinnie the Pooh's boots if it means Tesla can keep operating in China. However, those days might be numbered; since China has banned Teslas from driving near various government installations due to "national security concerns" (which is the same reason for Trump's tariffs on Chinese EVs).

Tesla is discontinuing the Model S and X and will use their factories to make humanoid robots:

Market's saturated and sales are declining, so why not pivot to something new?

CNN: China to ban hidden car door handles made popular by Tesla in world first (archive) (lite)
The hidden door handles are a signature feature of Tesla’s vehicles, and the ban comes as Elon Musk’s company reports declining worldwide sales and struggles with fierce competition in China, its second-biggest market.
Though Tesla is the company best-known for this type of door handle, other electric vehicle makers in China have adopted similar designs, including some models by heavyweights Xiaomi and Aion.

The new policy, which does not single out any specific company, now demands that all cars sold in China must have a mechanical release feature for both interior and exterior door handles.
The new rules come into effect on January 1, 2027.

Don't mention MG in public. It's a fucking shame how a once great brand was raped by the Chinese

As if Ford already didn't shoot itself in the foot enough times with the 150+ recalls they had in 2025, they may also let themselves get raped by the Chinese, as they may be in talks with Geely. There were also rumors that Ford was in talks with Xiaomi, but Xiaomi denied those rumors.

Xiaomi has also responded in regards to a recent SU7 fire, by saying that it was flammable liquids inside the car that caused it. / Archive

I also notice that Chinese automakers always say stuff like flammable materials inside cause the fire.
