I guess to answer your question, how the fuck should I know since nobody knows who the "anonymous source" is, and I very much doubt the administration wants to admit the navy hasn't accomplished what they wanted. It's odd that people would try and claim that the person in charge of the Navy would be fired during one of the largest US naval operations in memory, and it's "totally unrelated".

It's funny because when I posted about Hegseth firing the Army Chief of Staff a few weeks ago, the general consensus here was that it didn't matter since the Army wasn't involved in this non-war in Iran, it was primarily a naval operation. Update on my military parts job: We have been really slow for the past month. We get done with are jobs by the middle of the day for the most part. Now we have to go to the "other" side of the department that sucks to do. They always have jobs because it takes forever to do the shit and most of the parts they're hard to pass. You'll be lucky to get a whole tray of something to pass. Sometimes let alone one.

Well that's the conundrum. He wants quick easy wars but Iran can't really do that. If they're up to him he wouldn't be bombing. He's trying to do everything but bombing but he at least knows he has to at the end of the day.

It just means more standoff weapons and better surveillance. Iran was always going to be a tough nut to crack, but so far the war has gone in an entirely different direction than Iran had planned for by getting destroyed in the first month of combat.
