He took quite a bit of flak for his SJW rants about Star Wars. Lardon of A Cod made an hour-long video about his GG rant (to be fair, half of it was about TotalBiscuit).

He commented on his old tweet.

"I will never turn off comments. Unless people give me shit for being lazy."

All this really did was highlight how worse his attitude has gotten over the years and how his goodwill towards his fans has evaporated. And the kicker is he's basically destroying himself with this tweet. This is something you'd see a disgruntled fan dig up and use against him in an argument, but Joe did everyone a favor and did it himself.

You can easily make the argument that Angry Joe really didn't have a choice.
Pleasing people that don't have anything to do with my content vs. pleasing my fans. Considering how egoistic he is, I'm pretty sure he chose the first one because he truly believed in it. I mean, he could have not addressed the issue altogether and it would not piss off his fans.

You decide if you think that effected his judgment or not.
He should decide if it was worth it whiteknighting for people who weren't his source of income. He might think about it while he is flipping burgers at McDonald's.

Harsh! But accurate.

You have to appreciate the palpable irony that is his very own, personalized attack squad. He spent years cultivating, literally, an "Angry Army" of followers that he taught from day one to lash out against greed and laziness and poor business practices. Day after day, video after video Joe poured out tutorials on how to be upset, when to be upset, and how to respond towards these upsetting behaviours with blind, seething, unforgiving rage, and then when the time came for Joe to begin acting on all of these tactics he'd spent years decrying, he is somehow surprised at the backlash he received.

Watching someone unpleasant fall from grace is always a pleasure, but watching someone unpleasant fall from grace whilst being rended by the hounds they themselves specifically trained to do so is an altogether different sort of pleasure.

Considering the website Blistered Thumbs (which I will abbreviate as BT from here on) was an important part of Batshit Boricua's online "career", allow me to direct attention to a couple of videos by his old subordinate, Micah Curtis. First mention of Joe is around the 4:30 mark and there's a lot to sift through in terms of padding in the video. Long video short: Micah went through the same deal with the BT audience as Joe is going through his deal with his audience right now: He hated the audience.

Later on around the 15:00 mark, this Eli douche made Joe and Micah's lives hell at BT and they were both eventually fired. Joe made some mistakes and did his best to do just about everything by himself. He stretched himself thin.

This second video I'd like to direct to, also made by Micah, is more of his reaction at Joe's recent behavior. It's more straightforward.

I think the whole Blistered Thumbs fiasco was utterly fascinating. Joe definitely wasn't the right man for the job and he made some stupid decisions, but dammit he tried. He tried to make it work even when Channel Awesome refused to support it. I heard somewhere he even paid for games out of his own pocket for the staff to review them. If nothing else Joe was dedicated to the site even when it became clear the ship had too many holes, and there's something kinda admirable about it.

Watching those two videos, it really is amazing how Joe is basically sabotaging himself by going against everything he stood for, which is why he got popular in the first place. And as Micah pointed out, these people are his lifeblood, they're the ones who keep him afloat and he's pissing it away.

I don't know if his downfall will be as explosive as Spoony's, but it's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out.

my favorite Angry Joe moments are him lying about putting ads on the memorial video of one of his dead friends and when he threw a tantrum because youtube demonetized a bunch of his videos and he couldn't get 8 grand a month anymore.

When one Jew died, another was born.
