Seriously, what is it about aspies and Sonic?
Off-topic, but if you google "sonic autism" the 7th-ish result is some study titled "Relationship between Sonic hedgehog protein, brain-derived neurotrophic factor and oxidative stress in autism spectrum disorders." Yeah, there's actually a protein called "Sonic hedgehog".
There are a lot of women that look like Molly out there. Chris probably approaches every girl that barely looks like Molly asking if they're Molly---thinking they've gone to cville to look for him.
Isn't the phrase "Has anyone seen Molly?" raver-speak for "Where can I get some Ecstasy?"
Why, yes! I bring you page 3:
I'd pay a grand number of C-quarters to hear this with the vocals redone in Chris' voice:

But the Sonic Hedgehog protein has to do with limb growth, nothing to do with the brain. I learned this stuff at uni.
I think I only made it a few words into the abstract (I majored in CS). So that study is bunk?

It does sort of have to do with brain development because it's responsible for establishing the midline, and midline defects often affect the brain. A deficiency in sonic hedgehog causes holoprosencephaly ("whole forebrain", or failure of the brain to separate into hemispheres) and structures that lie close to the midline are deficient, or absent entirely. Extreme holoprosencephaly is cyclopia. Don't google that if you have a weak stomach for medical stuff.

What I found funny was that his exact wording was this:

~"I would not even commit suicide ever, because of how low in self-confidence and self-esteem I have been feeling for YEARS. I'm going to eventually pass natural."~

Nevermind that it was a completely irrelevant point to add to his complaint about Sonic's new arm colour, but the way he wrote it reads like he's suggesting that his years of low self-confidence and self-esteem are preventing him from committing suicide and that last part even reads like he's complaining about passing on naturally.
Makes sense to me. Chris has spent his whole life thinking that feeling bad and having low confidence is an excuse to do absolutely no effort.

Why did I follow my curiosity? :cryblood:

Sorry, I didn't really read your post, but what I took from it is that playing Sonic the Hedgehog will make me smarter? Awesome.
I really can't make heads or tails of this. The levels of 'tism are astounding. If you follow his train of thought, he's saying, "I wouldn't kill myself even though I've been really depressed, so therefore, let's change Sonic's arms back." WHAT???

I agree with the guy who speculated that this post actually includes at least two different trains of thought, and that the last paragraph ("Let's change Sonic's arms back") is actually referring to the paragraph about MJ, not the one immediately preceding the last paragraph. In other words, you have two trains of thought:

1: "I just heard about the changes to Sonic's arms. He shouldn't have been forced to have his arms changed, just like Michael Jackson shouldn't have had to bleach his skin in order to improve his image for the white patriarchy. Therefore, let's get Sonic's arms changed back!"
2: "Michael Jackson shouldn't have been pressured into bleaching his skin in order to overcome his insecurity and improve his image. I mean, I've been really depressed for a long time, but I'm not going to change myself because of it and certainly never commit suicide."

It's also funny how his language leaves subtle clues to his belief that cartoons are real people, i.e. "They FORCED Sonic to change his arm colors just to improve his image, even though he wouldn't want to." It's just like when he argued with Alec that Asperchu doesn't want to be called Asperchu, and therefore Alec should give Asperchu another name in order to protect Asperchu's feelings.

Could it cause the skin on your limbs to change colour?
Found this on reddit, thought it was interesting
