I'm sorry, I'm still stuck on WTF Herodotus has to do with "Suicide Squad." The man was a historian, not a novelist. I'm sure you could make some kind of argument about how history is just storytelling, and maybe Herodotus' approach has something to do with "Suicide Squad"'s structure ... ? Or perhaps the emphasis on sensationalism, which may explain why Herodotus included tidbits that might not be true but make for a better tale, or which he DID think were true at the time ... ?
My head hurts now.
ETA: Or maybe instead of Herodotus, he meant one of the other Greek writers--the playwrights, perhaps? Or Homer? I've been following this thread for 500+ pages, and I still have no idea what he's on about.
