If you want I'll make a recommended program list for loonix too. I know one of its major detractors is a lack of alternatives for basic things such as MS Paint and Office. I know good ones for all of those.
Please do.

I actually recently made the switch to duckduckgo on a few recent suggestions and I can say I'm quite pleased with the results I've had with it. Definitely not a bad tool, also Firefox is not that bad from a developer's perspective and yes... It is still super fast.

Also, above post is right. Adnaseum is great.

Please do.
ok
Preferred Distrobution: Xubuntu
Alternatives:
Paint: KolourPaint
MS Office: WPS Office (requires a bunch of fonts to work properly I'll upload and explain how to install if anyone asks)
Audio Player: Audacious, Spotify has a pretty good Linux client now too
Video Player: SMPlayer with MPV as the backend
Virtualbox: Linux has this, but I prefer Virtual Machine Manager as a front end to KVM
Partition Editor: GParted
Outlook: Thunderbird
Internet Download Manager: uGet
Bittorrent: qBittorrent
Web Browser: Chromium
Gaymen: Steam
Netflix: https://gist.github.com/ruario/3c873d43eb20553d5014bd4d29fe37f1
Calculator/Image Viewer/PDF Reader/Notepad/Disc Burning: I just all use the included Xubuntu programs.
Some enhancements I considered required are using gdebi to install .deb files and using Synaptic to browse packages over the shitty included app store. gtkorphan is great for reducing bloat. rar and p7-zip packages are good for .rar and .zip files. I'd also write a guide on how to get better performance with linux but another time since I've got shit to do.

I mentioned this in another thread but Samsung Internet, is the only internet browser you need to have installed all the time on your Samsung phone. Better, it's available for anyone with a compatible device outside of Samsung so it's not like they're being Shekelheimers so your cheapo Alcatel (within spec) can install it.

It's great, it's everything Chrome 50+ on mobile should have been, hell, even 40+.

Oh shit, I just remembered I have a phone!

Xposed Framework + GravityBox are very good for customizing your phone and getting rid of some bullshit you don't want.

Lucky Patcher is essential to anyone who wants to use paid apps or play games cracked because it patches apps to allow you to get paid content for free.

Open Camera is a camera on F-Droid. Can' really say anything else about it.

DraStic is a great emulator for DS games and is probably the best way to play them without an actual DS.

Seconding NewPipe because it allows you to play Youtube videos in an external player, and weighs very little.

For all the Chads like me who like to crank Spotify while pounding your qtgf try this: EZBlocker
It spoofs Spotify into thinking you have a premium account.

https://www.ericzhang.me/projects/spotify-ad-blocker-ezblocker/

Start spotify, then start this program. Might have to run as admin depending on your Windows settings.
Shit works 100% of the time, even after Spotify updates.

I use it every fucking day.

That's great for if I want to listen to the complete selection of Viper which is only digitally available on Spotify

How is Deluge as far as bittorent clients go? I used to use that. I think it's pretty barebones but it didnt really have a bunch of ads or anything like that. I dont think it was compatible with certain private trackers though, for whatever reason, I think it was something with like it didnt do DHT or whatever.

rarely ever torrent but that's my go to and it does it's job for a filthy casual like me.

Congratulations to every fucking idiot who has posted in this thread for contributing to utter worthlessness and a thread that if you read it all, you'll lose several IQ points and turn into a fucking exceptional individual just by reading it.

t. guy still using windows vista and internet explorer.

Most of the stuff I'm gonna share is stuff most of you probably already have, but that means there are some of you that don't know about these.

SoulseekQt
Music sharing service. If you're looking for an album, chances are that you'll find it here.

SVP 4 (Free)
You can play anime (and other things) in 60fps. It's either great or retarded, depending on who you ask.

JDownloader 2
Download manager. Worth noting is that you can easily rip videos (or sound) from Youtube (and Pornhub) or even batch-download from anime streaming sites and manga hosts.

MSI Afterburner
Good for setting custom fan curves and with RivaTuner you can have on-screen displays that show FPS and other metrics, take screenshots more easily (no fucking black screens) and generally just improve your gaming experience. It's made for overclockers but it works for everyone.

JPEGView
It's a good, lightweight image viewer. Customizable and better than the shit Windows comes with.

Foobar2000
Music player. Lightweight and customizable beyond human comprehension.

Paint.NET
Image editor. The simplicity of MSPaint with the utility of Photoshop.

OpenOffice
Microsoft Office but better and free.

Everyone should have a copy of this on their computer at all times.
