How the hell does he hate Venom? He's one of Spider-Man's most unique and standout villains, and is arguably a better archnemesis for him then even the Green Goblin is.

Does this fat fuck just take an unpopular opinion on everything in his life?

I imagine he only hates Venom or even knows what he is because he was in Sam Raimi's Spiderman 3, which was probably some sort of betrayal to him since it wasn't as good as two. While he's not my favorite Spidey villain (I think that honor goes to Shocker for being one of the few who treats being a villain as a livin' rather than "REEEE Spiderman REEE!"), he's more interesting than normal simply based on the whole "Both halves of the villain feel like Spidey either ruined their life or rejected them", alongside the dissonant feelings that comes with being a gestalt entity like Venom is.

It's been said before; Bob fails as a critic in pretty much any field he tries to claim he's an expert in.

I also think that it's because Raimi admits he doesn't like Venom and more or less put him in Spider-Man 3 because Avi Arad forced him to. Bob puts a lot of stock into the Raimiverse, so I wouldn't be surprised if he took Raimi's opinions as undeniable proof that Venom sucks.
