Recent development regarding SOFALAW:
Posted from his "fan page". The graphic, as simple as it is, is still too complicated for him to have made. I guess he does have admin on that page, but who knows if it's him posting.

There's an idiot ween going by the name of "Ben Palmer" on facebook, who is his "publicist" and is doing most of this stuff for him. If you see anything associated with him that is above his level of competence to create, odds are that guy is responsible.

The graphic itself was made as a new header for SOFALAW by one of my admins.
Whoever is behind the Lucas Werner public page (I am utterly unconvinced that it's Lucas, or that Lucas is more than dimly aware that it exists) posted the new header from our group in that comment thread. I assume he downloaded and then reuploaded it.

I do wonder if Ben Palmer is someone who is genuinely interested in helping Lucas, or merely a ween/troll playing the long game. I've mentioned in the past that this is similar in nature to CWC's "Ideas Guy", in the sense that he's taking advantage of Lucas' delusions as a means of manipulating him into acting out.

I honestly can't imagine anyone who isn't seriously mentally ill (and a total asshole to boot) genuinely wanting to "help" Lucas in the way that Ben Palmer is "helping" him.
We have plenty of decent people in SOFALAW (including the admin who made the new header) who wish they could help Lucas learn not to be such a creep, but I highly suspect that with virtually no exceptions, anyone who eggs him on or tells him that he is right is absolutely doing it for the lulz, or for bragging rights when their efforts yield results from him.
The same goes for catfish. Their only goal is to go back to places like this or my group and say "hey guys, look what I did!" It's eyeroll-inducing and a total headache.

Most people here probably agree with you and it's fairly obvious if people lurk for a while, although we still get the odd clown who thinks he's made the troll of the century.
Then there's people like Chris Chan's idea guy who, once he realized most people thought he sucked and probably would've been mocked and told to kill himself if he had made a post about his antics, still couldn't contain his attention-whoring. Instead, he PM'ed a bunch of people, including some very prominent figures, and they, in turn, proceeded to shit themselves and do nothing.
Most people are just here to observe but there's always that fraction of people who think that they are the ones who will be le ebin ween and change people's opinion.

Look at the list of Lucas's friends. His fan page is the first friend listed. Of course he knows about the page. He's talked about having a publicist and this guy is who he is talking about.

Since people keep remarking on writing and graphics associated with Lucas's pages being above his abilities to create, and even after I wrote yesterday that Ben Palmer was a ween behind all of this, someone still commented expressing ambiguity about who was doing this or what their intentions were, I thought I'd compile a summary of this ween.
This was the initial contact between Ben Palmer and Lucas on Feb 5th, where Ben offered his "services." Image credit goes to @LightEmittingDiode.
On Feb 7th, Lucas confirmed that Ben was responsible for the "fan page."
The same day, Ben posted on the fan page confirming that Lucas was an admin there.
Feb 10th, Lucas wrote "I have a publicist," and shared the page created by Ben.
I checked out Ben's profile and, to my surprise, it actually seems to be a legitimate personal profile and not some throwaway he's using just to ween. He's been using it for years and there are multiple pictures of him in military uniform as well as multiple pictures of the same dog of his over the years:
He's clearly mentally competent enough to know exactly what he's doing and obviously does not sincerely believe in Werner's "research" or anything. And he legitimately appears to be a grown-ass military veteran. But apparently he chooses to spend his free time enabling a psychotic lunatic's delusions.

If you know him and you're intervening now, why didn't you do so earlier? His involvement with Lucas has been prominent and recurring all over all of Lucas's multiple accounts. There's no way you could have been unaware of this if you literally run a group dedicated to monitoring Lucas's activity online.
