I don't even know how that's anything but ignorance when Skyrim and Dark Souls look nothing alike. They don't even have the same visual theme.Tis Bobbert.

Do Bob and his ilk get $20 and a sad handjob from a hooker in a Disney princess getup every time they give a positive mention to a DisneyMarvelStarWars film?
Nobody needs to hear about your fetishes, Bob.Talking about the Fullmetal Alchemist movie.

He'll probably dismiss it as another "generic dudebro medieval game" like when he said that Skyrim and Dark Souls are the same thing (actually i'm not sure if Bob or Dobbo said that, but i'm leaning towards Bob since Dobbo actually likes Skyrim).
He was part of TGWTG once upon a time wasn't he? Maybe he picked up the "hmmm" from Linkara through osmosis?I don't know if you've been reading the last 1060+ pages, but condescension is basically his shtick.
No, he started out on ScrewAttack and then he was hired by The Escapist, but he may as well been part of TGWTG at some point because his Game Overthinker series defenitively has that TGWTG-like look and feel of awfulness. He was part of TGWTG once upon a time wasn't he? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that he has no evidence to back this claim up.

I'm pretty sure most cultural interchange in the medieval era happened at the point of a sword. Bohemia definitely isn't Spain or Southern Italy. By the same token I could be asking for a game about Warring States China that's inclusive of latinos. Which would pretty much just be- if you really stretch the definition- Romans or maybe Etruscans at that point. Or how about something set in pre-Columbian North America, but there's a Middle Eastern guy in there for some reason. The lead director Daniel Vávra (Mafia 1-2) has been a big supporter of the movement. He's also someone who actually wants to make all his games historically accurate and OH HOW SHOCKING people were not that nice to people of color and woman back in those days. Sure medieval life might have been melting pot of different races but surely not in the part of Bohemia where the game is set in.

No, that was kind of the point. Bob will never understand comics. Additionally, I would have liked Iron Man 3 if it had adapted the "Armor Wars" storyline.
For love of... no one is denying that black people existed in 1403. They largely stayed on the African continent with a few exceedingly rare exceptions. What a historically illiterate fuck.
I just laugh that this fat motherfucker wants to be a jack of all trades with his efforts. When in reality he's a jackshit of none.
no he's the Jack of all things Jack ShitThe only thing he is the jack of is gorging himself at the Jack in the Box.

I remember LordKat saying that he interviewed him for Channel Autism, but found him too insufferable. Also, the fact that Bob still dwells on Mario instead of widening his tastes in games makes him stuck in the 80s/90s where Nintendo was basically the best choice for video games.Armor Wars was almost a ready made for movie nicely self contained story. I hope they use it if they do an Iron Man 4. The only drawback is they didn't have enough tech bad guys to make the hunt for his tech make sense.
Bob doesn't actually play that sort of game. The great GAME OVERTHINKER pretty much just plays Mario and similar. If it isn't cute and cartoony Bob doesn't touch it.
Vavra did some truly brilliant things. He has been positively engaging his actual customer base for the past 2-3 years, instead of virtue signalling and sucking up to ideologues that don't actually buy or play games. The result is gamers like him. They respect him. They are willing to take a chance on his game. It should tell something when the guy who actually sided with his expected consumer base. Who was positive to and about them. Who actiuvely communicated directly with them, bypassing the shady media, just popped out an unexpected best seller. I think it has already outsold the last Assassins Creed. Whereas numerous high level A list dev's who went the path of lecturing, shaming, ridiculing and insulting their actual consumer base have seen there products hit rock bottom on release. Or grossly underperform. (lookin at you CliffyB!)
I think Bob might be that rarest of things, the online pop culture critic that is actually too Autistic for Channel Autism. And they hired the guy with the Banana up his ass!
When I first knew of Bob, I legitimately thought he was a TGWTG alumni, it took a while and a lot of research until I found out otherwise. He was part of TGWTG once upon a time wasn't he? Maybe he picked up the "hmmm" from Linkara through osmosis?

He still has a point.
