This is true, but you can tell that she indulges extra in things that have flavor. She does her little thumbs up and her "oh my godddd".

Just like when an alcoholic tries to buy their favorite alcohol to binge on instead of a regular one, Amber prefers to eat out so much because it has flavor, otherwise she'd stay her ass home and eat large quantities of cheaper things.

I started watching a video earlier that was on cxnts YouTube but got taken down? I can’t remember what thread it was in and I really wanna finish watching. He was wearing a blue shirt and he lost a lot of weight and found our gorls YouTube while also on a weight loss journey. If anybody knows what I’m talking about and could link me that’d be great.

This woman looked to be quite a bit taller than AL. She is probably of average height for a woman and was close to 700lbs. AL doesn’t understand that with her frame they were exactly on the same level. 500lbs on a 5’3 body is roughly the same as 700lbs on say a 5’6 body, and if this woman is taller than that it would explain why she looked similar or smaller than AL.

I have been stuck in bed because of a broken foot and I have been watching a lot of the past “My 600 lb Life”. I see the quantities of food that they have to eat to maintain or gain. Seeing it is so much more eye opening to me than just doing the math and figuring AL has to be eating 3,000-6,000+ calories a day. We’re talking for a meal I have seen them being served by their enablers- 6 sausage links, 6 eggs scrambled, almost half a loaf of bread for toast. Or 1/3 of a meatloaf, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, etc. It all barely fits on one plate. And they ALL say that they need to eat as soon as they wake up. It made me realize just HOW much AL tries to mislead her audience with her dainty meals that she shows and her “I haven’t ee-uhn all day.” It’s all lies. Her last grokpot recipe had to be for just her. I now don’t believe for a second that this girl EVER eats what would be considered a normal sized portion.

Call me late to the table for only now finally having an idea of all of this, but jfc it blows my mind what great lengths AL will go to keep up the illusion/delusion that she ever eats like a normal person. Her mind is a lot sicker than I thought, and I thought she was pretty crazy before this.

This sticks out to me too. Amber has been pulling the "it's 3 PM and I haven't eaten all day!" card lately. It's definitely a manipulation tactic to justify eating large portions on camera. No one buys it since she usually sleeps in until noon or so. She also definitely leaves out how much she actually eats in her blogs. In the recent "What I Ate Today (Unhealthy)" blog, I found it pretty telling that the images of the chocolate bar and peach rings were captured before consumption.

What really strikes me about AL is her relationship with food and hunger. She lists so many foods as "bad" for dieting. If my vision of healthy eating was as strict and bland as hers, I'd get deprived and cheat too. Cake, for example, is a "bad" food. If she eats a piece, she cheated, so she might as well just eat the rest of it. In reality a single slice of cake in moderation won't kill a person. It's mindboggling.

Her black and white view of fats is interesting too. A bit of olive oil on a salad or a 1/2 tbspoon of butter in her mushrooms won't blow her diet and it'd taste so much better. She doesn't seem to grasp portion control and moderation.

I've read somewhere that fatties view the slightest bit of hunger as threatening, whereas people with healthy relationships with food know they'll survive if they're hungry for a brief period or that a small snack should be enough to tide them over. This would definitely explain why AL prefers quantity over quality when she's 'starving."

I wish I knew more about the psychology of fatties. It's really interesting.

Since this board gets plenty of posts, does anyone else like the idea of a thread that's dedicated to specific posts/events that get brought up/asked about? It'd require a lot of digging to create (looks like a team effort, too) but passing those posts around would be easier.

If it's a silly idea I'll take my :dumb: and :autism: ratings gracefully.
