Spoiler: A big old deconstruction

So without wanting to power level too much I used to work with kids with learning disabilities. Primarily one kid, who was so autistic that he had his head in the clouds pretty much 70% of the time.

Judging by that interview I'm willing to put a sizeable portion of my next tugboat's worth of NEETbux that Chris is under a shit ton of stress through Barb, the current finance situation he's going through and now all of the fallout from TMG. Chris is starting to retreat into that "world" more and more because of the external stimuli that are pushing down on him.

I can only imagine that this was brought on by the idea of CWCville, which Chris has already stated numerous times that he goes to visit once a day at least. Autism lends itself a little here as Chris has used this as coping mechanism for when he has felt threatened, you only have to look at the comics to see that. He's used it to retreat into his own world and tell the version of the story that he feels should have happened.

A second factor to this without a doubt is ideaguy. That Jizzstain has done a serious amount of harm by enabling and ultimately (and for want of a better word) programming Chris to think whatever he wanted him to think.

Now we're stuck with a Chris who is under the fairly immense pressure of losing a parent who will do nothing more than retreat back in the land of make believe. With everything that happened at TMG i'm not surprised that he went full meltdown blockout mode.

That is, and I speak from experience, a really autistic thing to do. The sensory overload would have had him bouncing off the walls and forgetting any social etiquette that he does know, so he would have been on a hug and kiss rampage. I suppose the whole thing with "hugs and happy times" vibe that you get with every con didn't help, he would have likely been confused by that whole thing as it would be acceptable for some but not others to do that (but that's neither here nor there really). Manajerks were telling him to fuck off. There's the social stigma attached to being told to fuck off. He clammed up (at least he didn't pepper spray anyone).

This does raise a point for me however, the kid I mentioned early had a fixation with touching girl's hair. To the point where if he kept doing it and got older he would probably get hit by someone, or at the very least charged. As a result, we kept sanctioning him until he realised that doing that was not okay. Chris just got burned, and hard by the TMG staff, who acted 100% appropriately IMO. This would to any reasonable person (autistic or not) send a fairly powerful message that this is not alright.

Now we have the issue of Chris and make believe everything that happened is forcing him further into that point because of everything else that is bearing down. I do feel that he needs some real help with this and hopefully soon. Rocky definitely didn't help, the crux of most of what she said would have been "turn to the lord." What Chris needs is a behavioural therapist or psych/social worker with a good knowledge of adult autism.

Without it, we could go from funny weird Chris to full on Howard Hughes Chris.

I don’t think that was an autistic meltdown. I’m more inclined to believe it was Chris throwing a very quiet and subdued tantrum of sorts. I’ve never seen an autistic meltdown that wasn’t accompanied by very obvious signs of agitation. When an autistic person decides to dig their heels in they will usually be rocking, pacing or fidgeting, and if they completely meltdown they’re totally unmanageable, getting them into a ball on the floor is usually the desired outcome for everyone around them at the time.

Chris has always had a knack for being overly theatric when it comes to displays of emotion and it’s become much worse and much more noticeable recently. If you watch any video he’s made in the past 6 months it’s filled with feigned over-the-top displays of emotion that come across so cartoonish they’re difficult to even interpret.

Maybe somewhere in his pea brain he thought a big dramatic display would cause a scene and illicit some pity, enough to overturn the decision to throw his fat ass out. I mean shit, for all we know he was communing with Magi-chan or trying to teleport away because that’s the level of delusion with Chris that we’re dealing with right now.

I’m very weary of giving him a free autism pass on his morph ball acquired posture. As soon as I saw his rolled in a ball the first thing I thought of was a parent dragging their dead weight kid by the arm through a shopping mall who is midway through a tantrum.
