Smaller Communities that are awful but don't deserve a thread

Hotline Miami and LISA both have weirdly autistic fandoms; either "le ironic maymay xd" guys or people taking the games way too seriously. Every single comments' section for one of those gay, meta live action Adult Swim skits is autistic and pretentious as fuck.

When it comes to anime, fandoms can be bad, but the fandom for Fairy Tail is downright awful. I'm not surprised though because Fairy Tail is a terrible show even by anime standards. The fandom mostly consists of cringeworthy role-players and keyboard warriors who practically worship the series. It's pretty reminiscent of the Naruto and Bleach fandoms.

Facepunch is pretty retarded but its a dead forum so whatever.

Historical re-enactors.

I don't want to say all of them but the jerks of it are fucking pure cancer faggots and god damn are the proud of it.

I once helped a buddy and brought a ton of my own PERSONAL gear, hand loaded a shit ton of blanks using my powder, gear and brass. Only to be chewed up for minor wrong things that weren't even 100% incorrect.

I've met some who were really cool and just wanted to cos play and do history chats. But man meet the bad ones, I want to waterboard them. But the based ones (youtube townsend for example) are just so cool. So I don't want to hate the whole group, but their bad are so much worse than anyone else.

Worse is that they act like they're strongly opinionated and use their status as a reenactor to be infallible, books and evidence be damned.

An even worse version of this is the line battle community that is spread out among various online games. All of the same stuff but even more retarded.

/vg/'s Falcom thread.

Resetera's Falcom thread

Oh lord, you too huh?

That was years ago for me, but from my recollection it was mostly a substitute reddit with a smaller and more autistic userbase. Also a lot of terrible fanfiction.
Not banned from the website but I really found no place there, started getting moderator warning messages from your average run of the mill new mods and it got really annoying. Plus I just couldn't stand some of the attitude some of the "popular" members had, especially with their autistic signature at the end of every comment.

I had an account but I don't think I ever made any posts. I mostly remember the creative writing forum and how hilariously bad they all were. I swear some of those guys could give the userbase of fanfiction.net a run for their money.

The Technodrome forums came off to me as filled with a bunch of smug TMNT fans when I had checked it out for a bit some time back, but far as I know it's not the most cancerous place in the fandom. There are a few infamous members on there from what I've gathered, with a guy by the name of CyberCubed being one of the bigger names, but outside of Ciro Nieli (the creator and director of TMNT 2012) being literally chased off from the forums because of 'Cubed being a condescending ass, most of the drama doesn't seem to be known to others in the fandom who don't go to that place. The TMNT fandom itself could have a thread, but eh, outside of the rabid shippers, it's otherwise okay.

And yeah, this isn't small in the slightest, but I'm a little surprised there's not more talk about anime communities like CrunchyRoll, AnimeNewsNetwork and the like in the weeaboos thread since a (mega)thread hasn't been made. But I imagine that due to how huge they are and being literally filled with cancer, I don't blame anyone for not trying to take the plunge to document the batshit insanity that comes from those places. Think the same can be said for visual novel fans, but as I don't really go near them, I can only imagine they're their own special brand of weeb-autism.

EDIT: Oh, I heard of the Digimon-centric With the Will forums being full of snobs, and from what I've gleaned checking them out during Tri's run, they're not big fans of people criticizing Tri for some reason. But when compared to what I've seen on Tumblr (one of the complaints I've seen in passing is With the Will is not LGBT-friendly, apparently, though I don't know on what merits), they keep mostly to themselves in their own little community.

I was a regular poster but believe it or not, I only hanged out with the Halo general thread because of how small the community are, I always trolled the shit of them with Haloverse bait which they took very seriously. It sucks because some of the really cool dudes I met there, they haven't came back in like years and one guy I liked a lot got fucking banned.

Extreme-Anti DDLG people? You know, the kinds that come off as saying that ALL people who have kinks in general are horrible rapists and animals that deserve to be shot. Now yes, I know these people occasionally get mentioned in he DDLG thread, but I've seen some absolutely insane posts from people who are obviously just going "ewww they're doing sexual things.' Yes, DDLG is cringe-worthy as hell, but so is chimping out over it.

ever played lioden? i've been on that game for like 4 years and i can confirm 95% of people there suck
The Flight Rising community is also a smoking trash-heap full of people who complain at the smallest things. I've seen people threatening to leave over a recent change where the art team changed the default eye colors of dragons and it was a mess.

This is not really a "smaller" community, considering how broad it is, but people that based their entire opinions off of hopping on bandwagons, to the point where their ideas for what counts as overrated (Final Fantasy VII) and underrated (EarthBound) are themselves bandwagon opinions.
You see this alot with fans of Zero Punctuation, Jontron, The Nostalgia Critic when he actually had a semblance of a fandom, and honestly with have been a great source of milk for us to laugh at.
But at the very least, there was one such person I knew in high school during 2011-2012 that would be amusing to bring up in "Personal Lolcows", if anyone's interested.

/vg/'s Falcom thread.
Are there any threads on /vg/ that aren't utter shit most of the time? There are so many games there where discussion ran out a long time ago but the generals still survive on nothing but somewhat on-topic shitposting.

The longer a thread exists the chance of it becoming just waifu/shit posting approaches 1. Because at some point there is not enough content being created by the product or game itself so the community has to find something to talk about.

The kinda of people that base their views that heavily on e celebs are always weak willed, and have no actual views of their own.

They are also the kinda people to never actually play or get involved in the product in question, and will just spout off opinions from said e celebs as if they are a veteran. I remember when everyone was doing this with Extra Credits despite them being factually incorrect in a basic manner, but he said it so it must be true. Such people will then forget why they even cared about said product in the first place as soon as the next big e celeb tells the newest (wrong) Hot Take™. They will rarely if ever synthesize some thought of their own.

They would make for a good thread if they weren't so transient in my shit opinion.

/ic/, if you know what crabs in a bucket mentality, this board is a great example of that in action. Recently there was a contest where someone would draw a one shot comic and the guy who drew and wrote Naruto was judging. The winner happened to be a member of the board and you got salty losers trying to find ways to shit on him.

AnimeNewsNetwork is one of the few places you'll see people have straight-up tantrums, and yurifags that make Dobson seem dignified

Consistently the most popular anime franchises always have the worst fans. Before JoJo took off it was SAO, and before that it was the big three, and there are at least a dozen more examples I can think of off the top in my head.

Still looking forward to part 5 though. I'll be damned if I let fat tumblr fujos ruin the experience for me.

AoT I'm sure shares a fanbase with SAO
but I'll consider it separate anyways.

Trigger community, you got plenty of Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann elitist shitting on Inferno cop, SPL and LWA fans constantly.

Not quite small but the Armored Warfare forums, mods are a bunch of autistic fucks who tend to defend my.com's changes and policies with the changes they've done to their dying game.

Also, also not small but the World of Tanks forums is literal cancer as well. Made a few posts there and I felt very unwelcome from the responses I got (mods included) so I bailed out before I got pissed off at the wrong people.
