Not small but the warthunder community, every update there's a circle jerk, week later everyone hates the game again and this goes on for weeks with shades of circlejerks till next update where it repeats . The Russian devs behind the game seem like some shady fuckers, any ill talk about the game or them they ban you. They openly insult the community which is hilarious and the majority forget about it after they backtrack and go along the lines of "we're sowwy we'll talk about this at a later date but for now fuck you xaxaxaxa".
 
While I wouldn't describe them as awful (I am biased however being in this community however), The hardcore S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fanbase is certainly eccentric. I know quite a few guys who flew to Ukraine to break into the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and one of them even got into a firefight with a few guards before he managed to fuck off (nobody was hurt according to him).

Quite a number of less insane individuals such as myself buy a ton of soviet gear, take a gun and just go innawoods for a few days at a time and come back collecting Artifacts. Now in game Artifacts are these strange stones that while mostly radioactive, have fantastic properties such as negative weight or forming a minor shield around a user to make bullets lose some kinetic energy before impact. In real life "Artifacts" are just very bizarre and interesting items that while they don't have any of the properties of the in game Artifacts, are pretty to look at. A fair amount of S.TA.L.K.E.R.s will pick up learning Russian or Ukrainian (basically the same thing xaxaxa) as well as Slavic cuisine. I personally have picked up drinking kvas (.5%-1% "alcoholic" drink that is sold in grocery stores even in western countries) as well as developing a taste for hardtacks.

A few interesting things is that while this community very different from most russophiles, being very anti-communist focusing more on the post-soviet timeframe than pre-Berlin walls being shitkicked. This is mostly because S.T.A.L.K.E.R. itself is a very capitalist game and its userbase is no different being ruthlessly capitalist as well. While I personally don't know of anyone who would regularly commit murder to make a few bucks unlike the Zone in where such is life, a lot of them are extremely frugal and will look for ways to save as much money as possible.

If there isn't a professional around and you need NBC protection advise, these are the guys to ask, they'll know all there is to Soviet NBC gear and procedures as well as what to avoid because of asbestos. Through them and actual professionals I've gotten to know because of this community I've learned quite a fair bit regarding Chernobyl itself and radiation isn't a big boogieman to both the community and myself but rather a danger mostly understood.

Yeah, that's weird. You guys are weird. If you want to play in the woods and find pretty rocks, you do your thing, but I wouldn't take these idiots advice on anything regarding real life.

Also I tried to break into the exclusion zone, and succeeded. I made it to the wish granter, but then a bunch of rabid invisible mutants attacked! Luckily I shot them all with my soviet era kalishnakov, but I had to run as another anomaly was forming nearby and I had to get my chopper out of there.

How similar is this to the story your buddy told you?

Not at all, he got caught trying to jump over the fence by a guard and so his first reaction was to fire like a retard. Guard presumably called for backup and so the idiot in question fucked off into the woods and laid low for a while.

I don't know about the JoJo fandom, I mean there's people there only for the memes, but that's most internet shit now-a-days. The worse I've come across are Kakyoin fujoshis wanting him to jump on Jotaro's Star Cock, but that ain't that bad. Altough I've been kicked out of a couple of groups (DBZ Scouter) One for ranting about how professional cosplayers are hoes and another for suggesting that yelling "Wryyyyy" whenever you see a Road Roller might be autistic.

However the r/metal/ subreddit can chew my morning load, full of repetitive Black and Death metal bands, they don't let you talk about larger bands like Slayer and Judas Priest becauase that would take away from people discussing the former mentioned exceptional bands and they have to approve EVERY post. Not much but fuck 'em regardless.

Some of you mentioned /vg/ earlier in this thread, but I wanted you to focus your attention on a particular general that haunts that place and it's particularly infamous even among the other generals of the board: the Katawa Shoujo general (or /ksg/ shortened).

There's also /hsg/ (Homestuck) which got banned from /co/ because it devolved into completely off topic non sequitur shit posting. If you want a window into hell it still goes on today at 8/homosuck/.

Context for anyone who doesn't watch divegrass: The man in these pictures is Spanish defender Sergio Ramos, who plays at Real Madrid. In the last Champions League final, he injured an opposing player, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who is Egyptian. This caused a lot of shit, especially between kebab Salah fans as you can appreciate in the pictures.

And it's not just retarded normies. Due to this new Nations League thing I started lurking /sp/ again and quickly noticed some autistic Romanian flag who pops up in threads related to Cristiano Ronaldo to act as his internet defense force by writing walls of text arguing why he's better than Messi. It's one of the most autistic things I've seen coming from /sp/ since that one anon who was obsessed with a tripfag.

This part sounds very similar to the tf2 community, they've literally been saying that game is dead even before the game was released.
Speaking of which, that community is shit too, You'd think a game with 8 male classes and only one of them being black wouldn't have sjw's no? Turns out, that's not the case. Lots of shitty artists and pessimists too.

You can thank the height of the brony era for those shitty artists and pessimists, I'd argue that the release of SFM made it 10x worse but we also got alot of good content so I'm neutral about it. Skial also brought out the cancer with the forum and the mediocre servers they've had. Speaking of there's a ton of sub communities that lie within TF2 that are worse than the base, it's bonkers.

Back in the day the Hetalia fandom was the worst. They're not as big anymore so I wouldn't call them cancerous now, but from 2011-2013 you couldn't escape. Cosplays and fanart everywhere, misplaced nationalism, histoical inaccuracies. If you were in public school all the time chances were you ran into a yaoi fangirl telling you how America and England just NEEDED to be together.

The worst incident was when a group of cosplayers seig heil'd in front of a Jewish memorial. Can't get any stupider than that.
