Smaller Communities that are awful but don't deserve a thread

AnimeNewsNetwork is one of the few places you'll see people have straight-up tantrums, and yurifags that make Dobson seem dignified
I remember when Scott Freeman got arrested back in 2015 for child porn, and commenters on that site use that as "proof" that english dubs and everyone working on them are the worse thing since Hitler.
That told me everything I needed to know about ANN.

The Killing/Stalking fandom AND hatedom.

Hatedom - Whiny little shits chimping out because of the themes. I guess stories can't explore dark themes now (from what I understand, it's a story centered around abuse and trying to break free from that relationship, and psychological stuff). I understand K/S is really fucked up, but I've seen people be like "IF YOU LIKE THIS, DON'T INTERACT WITH ME AND YOu'RE A TERRIBLE PERSON"

Fandom - People treating the main characters as an uwu softboy couple. It's glorification of a horrible relationship.

Pretty sure those little faggots browse 4chans /a/ a lot to. They always get super triggered when I tell them that I enjoyed Inferno Cop more than Kill la Kill.

The amount of salt Inferno Cop creates is amazing. It's literally paper cut outs with cheap cg however these faggots and even people outside of the trigger fandom get pissy just from others saying Inferno Cop is a damn good anime.

Are there any former Spacebattles members in here?

I was there since late 90's. I've seen the site since before the cancer took hold. Typical libshit forum takeover, tbh.

Oh lord, you too huh?

That was years ago for me, but from my recollection it was mostly a substitute reddit with a smaller and more autistic userbase. Also a lot of terrible fanfiction.

About that...

I had an account but I don't think I ever made any posts. I mostly remember the creative writing forum and how hilariously bad they all were. I swear some of those guys could give the userbase of fanfiction.net a run for their money.

I remember the fiction forum being a place for SBers (back in the 04-ish era) to post stories about themselves and forum memes. (Admiral Valdemar; Grand Admiral Kharr and Irn-Bru. Hack, that's there Adrian Tulenburg posted his oneshots back in the day.)

Then FF.net invaded, and the shitty fanfiction started because FF.net at the time REFUSED to run a forum at the time. So the filth came there.

Then you have 'The Observer' who literally started a group known as the 'SB Gestapo' as a signature joke, only to use the group to start a campaign to become a moderator and then start subverting, running off, scaring into corners or genrally attacking other moderator staff over years. By 07* it was over, and the banning of conservative members was begun, with a slow creeping takeover.

Basicly they would move to kick out the 'most conservative' users and each time by using the targets conservative status to turn the userbase agins't the targets. And doing this over and over to keep slicing conservatives off from the the forum. Now, there was two very conservative members who had been kept for quite a while, 'canaries in the coal mine' to keep people from noticing the slow creeping efforts to kick conservatives from the forum. (Dayton3 was the main example I can think of.)

That said, it was a scifi forum for debating 'what scifi thing can defeat/outmatch another scifi thing'. It's sad; that place was the 'fourth' worst on the internet back in the ninties. (Behind Infoceptor, which was #3.)

Created Jigglyman and She-monkey, did a few other things. Hehe. (Mostly stuff internal to itself, oh well.)

Reaction Channels are the worst thing on YouTube. I recall the time when Cloud was announced for Smash 4, but since I missed the direct, I had to look up the video on YouTube. The annoyance of going through page after page of reaction videos was the most annoying experience on that site, and that is saying alot.
I could go on, but Idubbbztv made a video that explains my HATRED for this cancer far better than I could.

That explains quite a bit actually. I always found it weird that a forum dedicated to science fiction had fanfic for shit like Harry Potter or Fate/Stay Night.

Speaking of Fate, that fandom has taken a nosedive ever since Grand Order was released. Not that they were ever particularly good to begin with, but I've found they've become pretty intolerable as of late. Guess thats to be expected since Type Moon is basically the Japanese equivalent to Valve in that they stopped giving a fuck about making actual games ages ago.

lel. What if people like it for what it is? A psychological horror with elements of Stockholm Syndrome, Lima Syndrome, coercion, and rape?

"B-B-B- ONLE ABoUT TehGAYSNESS, CaN Not Enjoy 4 PlOT!"-All the fuckin' fujoshits and anti-fujoshis, probably.

Airsoft players.

Bunch of hyped up kids and losers who deck themselves out in all that tacticool mall ninja crap so they can play a pussy's version of paintball (cue idiot telling me those gay pellets hurt more, like you can even feel it through your fucking body armor).

But aside from a few videos of freakouts and sperg fights there's not much else to laugh at.

Pokefarm Q, which is basically Neopets mixed with Dragcave, but with Pokemon. The owner (Powerword: Adam Haskell, or Niet as he wishes to be called) of the site is a complete fucking douchebag who can't take criticism and people blindly try to justify his ideas (he's also an autist and a furfag).

For an example of how bad it is, there is currently an event that requires you to buy 1,000 of the mid-tier currency (which can cost 10 pounds if you choose to buy it upfront) and all you get is a costume for a shitty, overhyped fakemon

The site owner has quite the history of being a scumbag, even on the original Pokefarm.

(Edited to make less sperg-tastic, remind me to not post when I'm completely annoyed)

Also, also not small but the World of Tanks forums is literal cancer as well. Made a few posts there and I felt very unwelcome from the responses I got (mods included) so I bailed out before I got pissed off at the wrong people.
NA or EU? Because I swear the game and community is entirely different depending on which server you play and which of the two forums you use.

EU is worse by far, naturally. You get dumbasses on the NA server but most of them are either just retarded south americans who don't tard rage or some young idiot who gets called out and laughed at. This tends to be true on the forums as well though it's a tad bit more elitist but with such many idiots who are shit at the game and proclaim to be great at it an elitist attitude from people who are actually good at the game is expected and for the best. At least the "deserved" elitist tend to be pretty good people for the most part if treated with respect and a lot of them will give very solid advise.

The EU server is awful though, most of the dumbasses there are malicious in their dumbassery and teamkilling (in a game without respawns) is far more common on the EU server. As half the server can't speak English there is no common language so teamwork is non-existence and the forums reflect this repressed anger because you can't rant at somebody if neither of you speak the same language. With all of this the elitism present is nothing like the eltism on the NA server which serves as a way to shut idiots down from giving awful advise. The elitism there is a circlejerk beyond all circlejerks and will rarely give out advise.

If I had to pick between living in the US or the UK based on World of Tanks alone I'd pick the US ten times out of ten. Sadly due to Wargaming EU being run by fucking idiots bad press caused by them causes Wargaming NA to suffer greatly. The saving grace is that the man himself, The_Chieftain, a god among tank enthusiast, is employed by Wargaming NA.

RuneScape OS community is pretty shit, but that's because it's a bunch of jaded 30 year olds still playing a 20 year old game. That's why I love it though.
