How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

This does remind me... everything the Chipmans tweeted out, was there ANY involving the bride and groom? Or were ALL the pictures involving one of them in some way?

Now that I think about it, I think you're right. I don't remember seeing either one of them tweet something out congratulating the bride or groom. Everything they tweeted was of them doing something.

Ya think? Hmm.

Hey, Bob, your "correction" of James Woods's career still neglected his performances in the early HBO original films Citizen Cohn and Indictment. Please revise.

Also his role in the very good television program "Shark" that got fucked up due to the Writer's Strike.

It’s 9/11 day, I thought I’d bring this up since Bob compared the reveal of SMB3 to 9/11.
This is one of the many reasons why he has such a popular thread despite never being featured on the front page.

Edit: Cross posting from the 9/11 thread.

If he actually get shitcanned from The Escapist again, I suspect the meltdown will finally get him there.

He's really never been featured on the front page before? All the big threads on this site, and his is the one that still has yet to get featured?

Wow, even in being a retard he still manages to fall short.

So Bob compared a disaster where 3000 people died to a reveal of the best platformer on the NES.

Wow, even in being an exceptional individual he still manages to fall short.
The only thing he doesn't fall short in is his height.

You forgot the part where he also compared it to the JFK assassination.

Okay he's just wrong on every level. But I get he thinks it was a world changing event at least I'm guessing that what he means but why compare it to events most would consider tragedies? It's like comparing your marriage to the Holocaust your wife might get the idea you hate it.

That claim makes Alex Jones more sane than Bob.
To be fair Jones is mostly con man selling modern snake oil while Bob really believes his crazy.

I understand he was trying to make a comparison and highlight how huge of a deal SMB3 was for him, but there are just a few things that you don't make comparisons to. World changing events/massive tragedies are one of them. Especially when you're comparing them to the release of a fucking video game.

Furthermore, the fact that SMB3 is that huge of a deal in his life is quite mind-blowing. I'm a huge fan of GTA V, and to this day still play it on a regular basis. That being said, it was not a huge life-changing event for me. I might have memories of playing it, but I'm not going to be telling my grandkids where I was the day it was released.

And to top it all off, the fact that Bob doesn't understand how a normal person is going to react to what he said in his book is quite revealing as to how warped his perception of things are.

I kind of get the reverse kind of message from it. Like he thinks the JFK assassination and 9/11 are joyous events to look back on.
The entire thing just proves how bad a writer Bob is and how he's lacking creativity. If he really wanted to compare Vidya to historic events he could have said something like "seeing Mario 3 for the first time was so groundbreaking, I understand what my parents must have felt like when they saw the moon landing." Instead he compares his favorite video game to the president getting his head blown off.

MovieBob is my Bay of Pigs.

Looking at the scale of the JFK assassination and 9/11, these were events has changed the course of American and world history. SMB3 was nothing of the sort and a better comparison would be something akin to (maybe) Empire Strikes Back as a cultural moment, but even that is a stretch. Why? The Wizard didn't even make $15 million in its entire theatrical run. Additionally, it came out in 1989 when films like Batman and The Little Mermaid, you know, the one that kicked off the Disney Renaissance, saw release. That's not even including Back to the Future, Part 2 and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. They were legitimate cultural touchstones whereas the reveal of SMB3 was the climax of a 100-minute-long commercial that (somehow) became a cult classic. It really speaks volumes about Bob's narcissism where he conflates his experiences with historical events.

No, no, no. You're thinking too small. MovieBob is my signing of the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson and John Hancock can suck it!
