Yeah because when cops see a black guy waving an actual gun around that's gonna make them less likely to shoot them dead. And being more heavily armed isn't going to deter the cops any it's just going to make them roll in heavier firepower your stupid ass can't compete with.

Unless you are a cop or some kind of private security there's 0 reason to open carry. It's mostly done by gun goons as a political statement. I still support OC laws because many jurisdictions will jail you on "brandishing" charges if your gun holster so much as imprints through your clothes a bit by accident, regardless of whether you have a CCP.

I think it also has a practical use with some states allowing open carry whereas you need a permit from the police/sheriff for concealing a weapon.

It's also their culture to be very apathetic to what some of the sensitive-minded in the West would perceive as "sexist" or "offensive."

Japan's media is sort of the inverse of America's, funnily enough. Sexuality is A-OK and skeevy video games, movies, and shows slide by without a bat of the eye, but violence is heavily frowned upon, controversial, and censored. There are people trying to vouch for more or less censorship of both, just as there are in America, but to believe that content creators in Japan are held to the same standards or cultural taboos in America is hopelessly naive.

Naturally he's British, and like the moron quoted a page or two ago, apparently thought you can just pull a cop's gun out of a holster. The chance that the English dink could remove that gun from the holster she took a photo of, even if she was allowed to do it without interference from the cop is about nil. Retention holsters not only have several little actions that have to be taken in the right order to open them, but the gun can only be drawn from a particular angle (so that the cop can draw them but someone grabbing it cannot). They can be defeated or even broken, but it takes the knowledge of exactly how to do it for a particular brand... or a lot of luck\strength.

I think all these people just get their knowledge of guns, 'tactics' etc from each other in one big circlejerk by reading each others' posts and trying to one-up them. It's like when a see a guy start talking about cars\bikes even though he has no idea what he's talking about but he just can't stop BSing.

What the hell happened on May 23rd? There's a spike in "bad faith" bans, and from then on the ban rate goes higher than the warned rate.
All I can find in the thread reeing at Valve for saying they weren't going to ban games any more, reeing about people not liking the Battlefield V trailer, celebrating that Omega Labyrinth Z was banned, and there was a thread complaining about hive mind moderation. ie.
