The General Thread

One thing worse than having to decipher your own old handwriting is having to decipher your handwriting from when you were in the hospital, medicated out of your ass, with nothing but an unevenly torn blank list and a semi-dead pen.

I saw some clips of the Baki anime 2018 on YouTube, it was over the top badass so I decided to check out the manga. It certainly delivers! :powerlevel:

The art is bizzare, but it works perfectly in communicating the dynamism of the action.

someone in a massachusetts primary thread on reddit was bitching that progressive ideology is going to ruin massachusetts like it did california...buddy it's about 25 years too late for you to be complaining about that

I cant stand pokemon genwunners, but I will admit that I am kinda a genwunner when it comes to Power Rangers - of course, I consider "gen 1" to be everything up to the end of Zeo, and I still respect people who like later seasons.

I’m a wreck worrying about hurricane Florence. I don’t want to think about anything else. But no, I have to go to work and hear people spread misinformation about the storm (I work in a rural area where people don’t know how to research) until Thursday or Friday.

I was walking to the bus stop last week and this couple were talking in the shade. They had a Staffordshire bull terrier with them. So they complimented my outfit and told me that I always looked so nice and my outfits were cute. And I thanked them. Then they asked me if I was a Baptist. And I knew this was tacked right on to the compliment about my outfit.

Then I realised that I dress like a conservative Christian much of the time.

I couldn't be any less religious. But it's a comment I have gotten before. A doctor once asked me if I was dressed the way I was because of religion and a professor told me that I reminded her of a Mennonite she knew. I think I'm sending out a vibe that I might be slightly less conservative than a Duggar. Guys must think they have to ask my family's permission to court me. (:_(

I'm just not all that into pants. I'd rather wear a dress or skirt. I find it more comfortable. It's cooler in summer and warmer in winter with layers. For this people have teased me by calling me Amish.*sigh*
Is it that strange to not wear jeans most of the time?

I used to dress in a way that was described to me as "heavy metal hooker". I looked like I was going to a concert all the time. But I got more and more modest and maybe I overdid it. I need a new wardrobe. I don't want a bunch of church invites again.

Maybe it's time to break out the hardware again.

I think you're find just the way you are. I'm sure it surprises plenty not seeing such a sight at this day and age, but I'm glad to know someone still thinks of modesty in their tastes to do as you did.

I will never cease to be amazed when an Incel turns down a gorgeous MILF's advances. Here you have a beautiful woman that prides herself on leaving her undies at home on Friday night and yet you turn her down because she's not a virgin teenager. Oh well their loss is my gain.

Always amusing to me watching the world freak out while the locals wax up our boards.

Sure, the power will go out. Probably. That's what hotels in Suffolk and Roanoke are for.

Been to Roanoke once, it's an interesting city. The view from Mill Mountain is absolutely breathtaking.

Still though, gotta be some crazy shit to live out on the coast.

I decided to look up this guy I used to know on google and he was mentioned in an article about latinos in chicago converting to islam(hes a mexican muslim). I would've posted about it but it's months old. If anyone's interested I'll link it. I thought it was interesting that there's latinos converting to islam, and that most of the latino muslims i've seen have been pretty liberal/normal compared to the rapey refugee image of muslims we typically have.

I realize today that I hate the south.
I came across some obese guy who was talking about how Christians need to support Israel and the Jews are the Chosens.
He then went on to complain about "liberals" and then revealed he receives federal disability due to his autism

Huh, I thought everyone down there hated the Jews.
