But about Glip- have you ever seen them actually apologize for anything? Like a real apology, not a 'you misunderstood' or a 'I didn't think that'd bother you' apology. Because I've never seen Glip do that in public but they claim they do it in private.

Someone pointed out to me it doesn't make sense to ever write off anyone as a "mindless hater" -- that just means you don't want to deal with their actual thoughts and beliefs. And you know... even when you don't see the damage being done yourself, when there's serious allegations of damage, you have to do something, right? You can't just stand by and watch it happen just because the harm isn't directed at you directly.
I have seen glip apologize for things, and properly.

I've been following this thread since mid-2018. Didn't want to post before because I'm just a bystander in this and had nothing to contribute. But I do have a question about glip, for Needle Fletcher...
There's a rumor that glip and eevee have tried therapy, but both of them stopped going. It was brought up
early in this thread. Do you know if this is true? Have any of glip's friends expressed concerns about their mental health?
I'm not sure about the therapy thing off-hand. I have heard them talk about how therapists can be completely useless, and I know they aren't currently in therapy. And yes, it's safe to say a number of their friends have concerns about their mental health.
Eevee still tweets vague rebuttals about this thread (and some not so vague) on occasion, so while I'm not saying I don't believe you, I am saying that all evidence points to at least Eevee still getting a lot of buzz about what we discuss here. I really wouldn't be surprised if someone has already gone running after your initial post.
Edit: that said, anything you can bring to the table will be welcome.
Maybe so, which is why I'm going to be slow to reveal things. Right now, I'm just gathering information. But no matter how upsetting news of a friend posting on KF behind their backs would be, they'd need to know who that was to do anything about it. If you can be patient with me, I promise I'll be able to make things interesting for you all.

messages from this mystery person, but hid their identity and also edited out several paragraphs of supposed "proof" of Lain's deeds and identity in those message, yet
when it came to jupiterdune, who was a former fan and paying patreon, she censored nothing and pretty much revealed her identity. Like it's amusing how she and Eevee claim screencaps are edited, and yet PK edited these ones to not reveal who Lain was but revealed who jupiterdune was in separate docs (when jupiterdune was gonna post up the screencaps and only censor her name.)
This contradiction would also be a thing to bring up, along with why
she drew her Kecleon self-insert getting fucked by a self-insert of her cat and
a self-insert of
her sister fucking if that's "coping".

Jupiter Dune... if I recall correctly, their take was, "if Jupiter Dune wants to ignore my issues with her actions, then I'll just make it public." I can't remember if they gave JD a chance to respond to the document before posting it publicly, though. Can someone answer that for me?

Used to read this thread but never posted, but since this toxinuate meltdown is going on, I wanted to see if pengo made a response. Instead I found that there's been an influx of flora fans following him since glip began posting.
It could be that glip's fans are flocking to see if he reacts but there are some higher-profile people following, including opaopa and goopyboopy
Seeing how much of a shitfit glip and vee throw when anyone interacts with anyone they don't like, any info on why friends of theirs would do that? Especially after opa made a post saying how important flora was to him?
I am part of certain private spaces, yes. Not all of them. glip clearly has Pengo in mind recently (I can confirm the reference to "solvent" and "When both answers are wrong" on the Dr. Toxinuate update are Pengo references). I don't know what their whole gameplan is there, yet -- I'm hoping to learn that.
I just want to point out how PK always said how horrible KF is for harassing her. How she hates the hate. The people who "give her so much shit." How instead, they should try to spread kindness and happiness "like her".
Yet, here we are, with Floraverse being fueld by nothing but hatred.
I am also baffled by how Pengos amazing artwork when it comes to those panel layouts. I had not seen it until now and I can see how PK ripped both it and its cryptic writing off, but clearly had no idea how to properly use it.
Yeah, no, I can barely bring myself to read anything that's nothing but hatred and venting. The first thing that hooked me on Floraverse was the "S. S. Friend Drowner" joke back at the beginning of Seeds, and, well, the comic sure isn't anything like those silly early pages anymore, huh?
Pengo's work is really, really good. It's such a fucking shame glip felt compelled to write that nasty thing on their blog.
@Needle Fletcher On top of all the things other people have mentioned - they claim that they were completely unaware of the things Marl was doing and saying, and that that was the reason they both defended him and attacked the people coming forward as his victims. Even if you ignore the evidence that they actually did know about the accusations against Marl as far back as 2014 - when it was finally confirmed to them that yes, the logs were real, would the reaction of any sane person not be a completely horrified "Holy shit, we allowed these things to happen and defended the person doing them, we should take some time to seriously consider all of the assumptions we've made and above all sincerely apologize to the victims we've insulted and accused of being liars"

They act like people want them to apologize for things that Marl did, when they actually want them to apologize for things that they personally did. And the fact that they don't think they have anything to apologize for is telling.
Your question assumes that glip is entirely sane. Anyway, I'm not surprised to hear there's credible evidence that accusations against Marl were brought to their attention as early as 2014. It was probably easier to ignore them than believe them.
Completely agree with your last paragraph. I'm very interested in hearing them apologize for the things they personally did, and it's definitely telling that they haven't apologized for anything more on these matters.
@Needle Fletcher I don’t have archive links right now, but if you’re going to talk to PK and/or Eevee, the big thing I’d like to see them explain is the disparity between the accounts Eevee, Marl, and PK each respectively gave about the bigfluff logs. In a non-confrontational way, I’d really like to know why their stories didn’t corroborate. It’s obvious to outsiders of course, but I’d like to know how the “innocents” try to explain it away, and why Eevee changed his mind on the logs being fake.
That's a fair question. The three of them couldn't agree on how fake they each thought the logs were, right?
You guys are way too optimistic that approaching this as a concerned friend is even going to work. I'd bet money on glip twisting shit and ousting this friend as an "undercover trol l"
I want to address this concern. If the plan I have in mind works, glip will absolutely not be able to blow me off. I know things glip wouldn't want shared publicly. When the time comes (and again, you'll have to be patient), they'll answer my questions.
I don't think anyone is optimistic that Glip is going to come clean--admitting she did something , even to a good friend, would mean admitting she's wrong, and she's never wrong, she's an eternal victim and the world is conspiring against her.
Admittedly, I'm just curious to see what happens next.
I can't promise this is going to end with glip admitting they did something wrong. But I am confident I'll be able to get some answers out of them.
I was thinking about this earlier. Eevee mostly, because Eevee is usually the one who answers for this stuff most of the time.
I was thinking about how the excuses literally evolve in front of our eyes depending on what (poor) set of information they have at the time. If they were actually trying to address the 'real' situation, they'd have one story instead of one that slowly changes depending on what they hear. The shit with 'button pusher' (Bigfluff) is a good example. They give the excuse that they think will work until they get information that shows it won't work.
That's something that really, really frustrates me, when a story changes again and again, anything to make the same conclusion stick. That's part of why I want to deal with this all in one go, no opportunity for any revisionist history shenanigans.

Man, Mismatch really brought up some unsettling memories for me the first time I read it. The last time I talked to glip about it, they defended it, despite having taken it down.
I'd like to point out that based on the two "insider" posters, and nothing else, it shows glip tells people completely different stories.
Different people get to see different sides of glip. That's all I'm going to say for now.
I'd like to add onto this--I'm curious about how Glip would react to being told that "coping" doesn't explain why she openly mocked people upset by her underage porn (the HxH Killua image in particular comes to mind) much less that if it was to cope, why was she putting it online for likes and views and to talk dirty with other people about it? That doesn't sound like an intensely upsetting subject as much as one she loved to indulge in and enjoyed until it brought her too much unwanted attention.
Coping mechanisms aren't always healthy and you can't excuse away everything you do with "Waahhh I'm using it to cope!!" Plenty of people lean hard into alcohol or drugs, but those aren't long term effective methods for dealing with underlying issues. And tying back to the likes and views-most people who cope in an unhealthy way are usually very ashamed of it and keep that shit as far away from human eyes as possible. They wouldn't be so gleeful to drag attention to it.
I'm curious if Glip would have anything further to add if confronted with that, or if she'd just get upset that you would dare question how she coped and how dare you victim blame her.
Yeah, no, even if a piece of art is a cope piece, you can't just rub it in people's faces. That anyone could be gleeful about dragging attention to it is frankly horrifying. I definitely plan on asking glip about coping artwork.
I feel as if Glip definitely didn't know about Marl recruiting teens. She's always had this "open poly relationship", but she's the only one allowed to get side dick. I can't see her actually allowing Marl to maintain any sort of relationship with these teens without getting jealous and upset.
There's two questions here:
1) Was glip made aware of people's concerns about Marl, and if so,
2) Did they ignore them? If so, why?
a simple answer to glip's unwillingness to just admit the truth, even if it would finally clear them of their name, could just be their narcissism/pride. they're clearly on the extreme side of the npd scale, and it's easy to delude yourself in the name of perceived protection (emotional or otherwise) when you're that mentally ill.

I think a lot of people are afraid of huge backlash because of the shit that went down with Pengo and the lawsuit. When PK posted shit about me I didn't get a single message about it that was negative. Literally only one KF member messaged me on another account and that was it. No one @'d me, no one messaged me, no one slandered my name. Any sort of rabid fans PK may have had don't seem to care much any more. I've literally lost nothing from this fiasco, while PK lost much more.
To the guests posting who are afraid of being outed: odds are nothing will come from it except for annoying vaguing for a week and not being in her discord. If you're gonna leave her presence, you've really got nothing to lose. People on this site won't even hound you down to harrass you so long as you don't make a total ass of yourself sperging about dumb shit.

If a friend hides important things from, if they make you feel threatened, if you don't feel free to express yourself with them... then I won't consider them a friend.

Long time lurker, yada yada yada. I don't have anything to add, but I do want to ask a question to anyone who knew Glip or helped on the Flora and forflor sites:
What were the criteria for a comment getting rejected it accepted? I remember commenting on a video update ages ago asking a question, but it never got posted. I think that's around when I noticed something was up, soon after that the comments were deleted altogether.

There aren't any strict rules, just vague guidelines. Do you remember what you posted?
Also, I can tell you a little about Dena Beloved -- they're a plural person who's a big fan of Floraverse but had some issues with Marl regarding emails that I forget the subject of. I think they really wanted to promote Floraverse without always like the creators, if that makes sense.
I mean.... glip did draw that picture of their self insert beheading eevee and marl (and then sold it as a shirt, to boot, if I'm remembering correctly.)
