I know Ryo Horikawa as Reinhard from Legend of Galactic Heroes the best, so I get endlessly amused whenever I think of Mein Kaiser helping Toei bring down the hammer on these morons.

Yea as soon as I got the name did an advanced Twitter search and reading the Vic was not her teacher part
 
Whew, back on track. And it only took me >40 pages to catch up.

Anyway, semi-related, but I was musing in both Doug Walker's and Obscurus Lupa's threads about it having been one year since Channel Autism dropped that second attempt at damage control apology during all the #ChangeTheChannel drama (of which, of course, @MarzGurl was one of the ringleaders) and inadvertently(?) outed JewWario as the predator referred to in their "Not So Awesome" document, when I noticed that the video Kaylyn put out in response to everything came out on April 15, 2018...one year before some shit is expected to go down for all the big #KickVickers involved. And to think I was actually sympathetic of her back then...

Just a thought.

April 15th just isn't her day.

I never really cared about anyone in CA except NostalgiaCritic and SpoonyOne - who apparently were a part of this group - but it's a shame to see what a sad state they've been left in. Seems like those online groups are always destined to implode in some embarrassing manner. TFS probably only survived this long due to trying to pivot into professional work instead of just being a fan group. Sad that their method of pivot might end up being the thing to destroy them anyway.

I mean, it's sad but it's also kind of funny. I used to think Lupa had been the most unhinged since #ChangeTheChannel, but boy did Marzie prove me wrong with all this #KickVic shit.

Heck, now that I think about it, there could probably be some shady business practices around the whole thing.

100% a dumb brain fart but:

Funi/Toei advises Sabat to start a recording studio, they all get cuts of the profits while possibly doing some sort of tax or cost evasion by doing things this way, Sabat gets a shiny new title (or a Vice principal role) and co-ownership (I.e. may list him as owner but it's possible that Funi/Toei are shadow partners) of a new business.

What the fuck, High Voltage is still around? I thought they went the way of Midway.

High Voltage is an old ass development studio from the 90s that has only survived because they are too small and insignificant to be bought out by anyone large. They've only handled like four projects of notoriety, Lego Racers, the Conduit (which is probably the only good FPS on the Wii), the Zone of Enders HD release, and porting Mortal Kombat and X to the PC. Everything else they've done is either those shitty Xbox/PS2/PSP/Wii last gen releases or more recently to my surprise decent current gen ports.

I don't have any weird stories about odd behavior as they're too unknown to find any, but their Indeed score is at a 3 and two of their 1 star reviews site bad management (albeit one of them is obviously an asshole) with a 5 star review possibly suggesting the company refused to pay him.

Goddamn it's like remembering the name of a first grade schoolmate.
