You should see the graph of ratings for series 8 on Wikipedia. They are haemorrhaging viewers every week. Not even the squawk over Sansa getting raped in series 5 did as much damage to their ratings as this crap has.

I know he'll do this in the book, because it's being written by someone called "an actual writer".Euron won't kill a dragon, he'll take one for himself. Killing it would be wasteful.
That's what gets me, they'd hardly be the first showrunners to hand the series off to someone else after getting tired of it, why they didn't just hand it to Bryan Cogman or anyone else who seriously gave a shit about the show post season 4? It's like their first attempt at writing fanfiction for GRRM's universe was received poorly and they locked into a "fuck it" mindset instead of thinking maybe someone else should take over the project.
This has to be the only explanation. They've made more money off the post-book seasons than the pre-. Greed makes fiends out of better men than the average Hollywood writer.Because they're greedy faggots who wanted to get paid and just turned the show into garbage because they didn't give a fuck?
"I hate this shit, but I still want my big paycheck. How long can we stand to do this before the money doesn't work for us anymore?" That was their entire mindset.
That at least was true to the spirit of A Song of Ice and Fire. You should see the graph of ratings for series 8 on Wikipedia. They are haemorrhaging viewers every week. Not even the squawk over Sansa getting raped in series 5 did as much damage to their ratings as this crap has.
Yeah I never got the whole MissandeiXGreyworm thing. The unsullied are eunuchs, how would they consummate the relationship, finger blasting?
There was a discussion about it in series 5 I think, as to whether they chop off both "the pillar and the stones" or just one of them.
What, is Varys going to settle down and marry Tyrion? That sounds fucking asinine. No wonder I dropped during season 5.
she knew how the masters of Astapor castrated their Unsullied.
"With large knife."
Eunichs usually just had the testicles removed because if you removed the whole thing in ancient times it would lead to infection and eventual death.
Remember they used to remove rooster testicles in those days because a rooster tasted better without them if it was raised in that way. Once farming got into better selective breeding the practice stopped and they just raised hens.
But yeah people knew how to remove testicles safely due to animal husbandry and used the same methods on eunichs.
No, with small but very sharp knife. A large knife would not be precise enough and clean cuts mean less ragged edges, less chance of infection, and quicker healing times.

Yeah that type of castration is one that wasn't widely practiced due to those issues. You really want slaves who make everything smell like pee all the time? That and when the regions got infected they would also leak pus and other fluids and they were often in pain or dying and thus their efficiency decreased.I remember reading about the last Manchu Empress Yehenara and there was a discussion about the palace eunuchs who had their peens cut off as well and they were incontinent (and thus smelly) as a result. So I wondered too.
I guess Chinese emperors weren't taking any chances with all those concubines around.

That was also pointed out and given as the reason most of them were mean-tempered sonsofbitches. Not surprising.Yeah that type of castration is one that wasn't widely practiced due to those issues. YOU FORGOTWell this is Game of Thrones, where from Varys to the Unsullied to Theon to Arya going into filthy canal water with open abdominal wounds, infection just isn't a thing.
Oh, except for the one that killed Khal Drogo. Oops.
YOU FORGOTSERFRIENDZONEJORAH ALREADY????
IMO, I felt BB almost went that direction because the antagonists kept escalating to the point it got ridiculous. Ridiculous but fun.Coincidentally, Breaking Bad didn't. Why? Because they knew what they wanted to accomplish and worked out how to get there in advance. They also knew to quit while they were ahead.
He ate her out last season.Yeah I never got the whole MissandeiXGreyworm thing. The unsullied are eunuchs, how would they consummate the relationship, finger blasting?
