But that report is privileged. It was an internal investigation. It's not like they were disclosing information from it to random conventions along with lies that Vic was about to be immediately arrested. . .and of course they gave it to trusted people. . .like Ron Soye. That wouldn't breach the privilege. . .at least if Ron Soye was an agent of Funimation.

That's the amazing thing here. Is there any way to as they say "square this circle" legally that doesn't end with the defendants being ass raped by Judge and Jury? Because from the outside it looks like they did every fucking thing possible wrong, and just kept repeating that approach over and over. They seem to be the living breathing embodiment of "rules are for thee, not for me".

They've dug themselves into an enormous hole, and when told they were digging themselves into an enormous hole, they shoveled ever more furiously. There's no argument they can make now that doesn't contradict one of their previous lies, and no way to defend against any point in the lawsuit (like the "Ron Soye is an agent of Funimation" point) without losing another.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of sociopathic fuckheads.

For all the shit ADV was fun. Not like 4Kids....or Faux Kids as I call em
Wtf happened to Al Kahn anyway

ADV had a great eye for decent shows and presented them quite well, provided you could get past the fact that they only employed about 4 VA's and used them for everything and every show. Back in the day you could be reasonably certain that a DVD or series from ADV wasn't likely to be a complete and total trash fire. Compared with some other anime importers that was actually a mark of quality.

The amazing thing is, if it were intentional on Nick's part(at least I assume it isn't...) this would all be textbook reverse psychology. Monica and Toye have reached levels of stereotypical SJW that shouldn't be possible.

Here's her being bragged about for doing some fan video for some band called "My Chemical Romance":

And that leads to searching her name and that band name and finding this:

Ah, My Chemical Romance. 2006-2009 was their peak years when they released The Black Parade. I'm still upset with myself that I did not get the chance to see them with Linkin Park on the Projekt Revolution tour in 2007. I heard rumors that Chester Bennington of Linkin Park sang with them on stage, but I can't find any footage it. It would have been nice to see. Now, MCR is gone (broke up in 2013) and Chester Bennington is dead. I felt as though a chapter of my life closed when that happened (I can't believe it'll be two years this summer).

EDIT: Make fun of my taste in music if you want, but these bands and a slew of others broadened what I listen to now. I'll be grateful for that.

As for Weeb Wars related, Casey Erick has to know he is on a sinking ship:

I'm a little late to the party but basically after all that "we welcome a chance to show in court how horrible Vic is" now they suddenly claim that it's harassment to be deposed? How fuckin stupid and privileged do these people think they are? They don't want it getting out that they ARE FULL OF SHIT and lied
They weren't excited to go to court. They were exited to go to their idea of court. Anyone with a remotely accurate idea of what it's like isn't exited to go into court. Now that their idea of court is closer to how court really is, they don't like it. Who would have thought?

Their idea of court was something like Judge Judy, wherein they show up, she calls Vic a pervert and a loser, says Ty's on thin ice, does a sassy motion for an animated gif, and somehow drags Nick up to the front so she can call him a troublemaker who needs to shut up. Gavel Gavel, case dismissed.

The reality is, well, hope you have 101 fucking legally verifiable claims of harassment, Soye.

My shelves are filled wiith ADV titles. For a handful of VAs, they were (dare I say it?) pretty diverse in their output. When they went belly up or how ever one could describe what happened, Anime quality in America dropped considerably IMO.

It's basically a "Throw shit at it to force a delay!!!" Tactic in order to give their beleaguered and grossly underpaid and under inebriated attorney time to make sense of the shear fucking mess that Soye and Rial have made of things. Probably first on their lawyers to do list is to inquire of Monica and RonRon "exactly what the fuck did you do to piss off not just the opposing client, BUT Ty Beard himself personally!?!?!" I figure less than a half hour in the room with Ron will probably answer his question. (Put me down as "First week in July" for the moment Ron's own lawyer gives up and strangles him to death with his bare hands)

Didn't they basically dig their own grave by licensing too much and not being able to pay?

Yeah, big mistake on their part making fun and taking personal shots at Ty Beard because he's going to do everything to destroy them and give 0 Fucks doing so I'm sure vics going to get the best lawyering Ty beard has to offer since it's became personal
