I suggest you look into the behavior of Treehouse. It's been an SJW hive for years. Nintendo doesn't produce woke, but its American team will sure as hell "culturalize" woke wherever they think it'll fit -- you know, when they're not busy censoring or butchering games outright.

You know that weird, signature happy-go-lucky style the more text-heavy Mario games have in English, something not present in the original Japanese? That's Treehouse. You know how Vivian in the second Paper Mario game is just a straight-up girl in the NA "translation" but if you play the Nintendo of Europe English translation "she" is correctly a guy who was essentially bullied into crossdressing and isn't comfortable with it? That's Treehouse. You know how FE Fates had its "translation" completely fucking shredded and had wokeness and memes thrown in (and an entire character's personality arbitrarily replaced with the love of pickles)? Tree House has gotten better but that's more because Nintendo started to reform them after the shit that happen with Fire Emblem Fates. There's still shitty and unnecessary dialogue changes like changing sexual jokes or changing the months of the year to fictional ones like what they did XenoBlade 2 but it's not at the level it was in the past. I still would rather Nintendo get rid of them all together.

The real question is will KT and Gust have fixed the issues with the Atelier series because the last 3-4 games have been awful.

The last game in the Mysterious Trilogy was especially bad with the post game requiring to fight the same two endgame bosses 20 times and they were HP sponges that increased their HP and Defense every time you fought them.

They keep trying to do open world adventure with alchemy but they keep fucking it up. It's frustrating because they've gotten so close to being good a few times.

My point, in case it was missed, is that ResetEra has allies on the inside at Nintendo of America. Bill Trinen's team, at least part of it, thinks along Era-esque lines. They buy what Era's selling, drink their Kool-Aid. This is the only reason (as far as I can tell) that Era seems to get its way sometimes, because Nintendo proper actively does not give a fuck. (If it did, it wouldn't make half the things it does.)

Actually, they're more than happy to turn on a developer that caters to them. Just look at how old NeoGAF bitched about one of the main characters in Yooka-Laylee being "racist" against every other character, and that was after Team 17 bowed to their whims by removing JonTron.
