Miriam Altman is the daughter of Bernnard Baruch Altmann and Hanna (Seeberger) Altmann, based on a family tree compiled by her cousin Michel Altman. A 2005 back issue of the Vancouver Sun has a “Miriam H Yaniv” of Surrey thanked for a donation to some cancer fund. I’m inclined to think this is our Miriam; perhaps the H is for Hanna after her mom.

It should be noted this family tree is pretty thorough and current with other family members contributing but makes no mention of Miriam having a sister. More on that later.

With Miriam and Yitshak emigrating to Canada around 1984, I assume at some point after that her parents came over. Hanna died in White Rock, Surrey in 1997. Bernnard died in 2006, no place of death listed but most likely happened in BC based on her tribunal comments about their burial.

The problem is he is an actual fucking creepy pedo perv trying to perv on 12 year old girls first periods at the public pool. So you can’t simply ignore him or not report his skeevy litigious menstruating ass.

At best his name might be in some way listed as “transfer on death”. Although it is technically possible for him to be the property owner. Normally with 55+ properties that only happens in the event of death, or if a special exemption is granted by the board. But Yaniv would easily be granted that. The main thing they want is the under 55 not being the primary resident. If Yaniv owns across the street, and bought the 55+ place for his mother to be nearby they would grant that exception easily.

What's tough about Yaniv is that there are two angles: on one hand he's a typical attention-whore cringecow, who loves to dance for the camera and play into his audience, and reactions and reporting fuel his fire. Those guys are usually pretty fun, but. The other hand is that he's legitimately sexually interested in female children, and men with his specific pattern of paraphilia will sexually offend if they think they can get away with it. But... Yaniv hasn't played into the pedo stuff so far, so it seems he understands that acknowledging that specific behaviour won't be scot-free fun for him the way that shocking moms about tampons is.

So it falls down to a calculus of how at risk you think children near him are. At a public pool? Honestly, not very. There are adults around even in change areas. The children most at risk from Yaniv are the two daughters of that neighbour he hates, and given that everyone in his building knows what a piece of shit he is, I think they're probably safe from him.

Keep in mind that in Leafland, even uttering JY's name was something people couldn't freely do until July 14. As Dear Leader pointed out, even google.ca was censoring this site for mentioning him. Back in Nov-Dec, there were reports in the megathread that closed mom FB groups were warning each other about JY and the ferry.

I think what's happened since the 14th, not even a month ago, is an avalanche of locals now free to talk about this guy and also worried about themselves and their kids for good reason, same as The Kitty's neighbors might be. If someone publicized with open child-exploitation charges plus having actually gotten arrested for weapons Tweeted about going down to the neighborhood pool, I'd not only call my local PD, I'd broadcast that I did in hopes that other people would and get that signal boost.

And people misunderstand the role of Rebel and the elevator journos here. They go in where other "more respectable" outlets fear to tread but then their screens and videos end up on the "real news" if they get the video.

It's largely because of the angry but normal mom reaction, Rebel, and to be fair the Farms' proof too that this issue is even on the radar in the first place. Because if it weren't, JY would have more latitude to hurt kids.
