Hey guys, I'm a little down I hope you don't mind me ranting a bit.

Things have been going so good with my gf for several years. We wanted to get married. Unfortunately I started playing the new Fire Emblem and found my waifu (Mercedes btw). I had thought that having a waifu, for 95% of people, was just a goofy way of saying who was your favorite character. And that going through romance subplots was just a way to experience more of the story that the developer worked on making.

Once I started playing FE and working on my support relationships, I realized the reason why I was doing this was because my real relationship is not as fulfilling as Phil's, who is smart enough to stay away from these toxic games.

I don't know how to break it to my girlfriend

Just try and make it amicable, you might as well end up keeping a chair.

that's the kid who got a rolex from his mom for graduating college which he didn't like and was asking dave in a donation message if it would be wrong to sell it. p sure he did end up selling it since he's been cheering constantly and was on top cheer of the week a few times but now all that money is dried up.

I'd love to see a compilation of "Life Events People Have Celebrated By Giving Phil Money". You know, those times in which someone traditionally is given an influx of cash, only in these situations they waste it by tossing it to a 250-pound infant. I know we have high school/college graduations, Christmases, birthdays, and even the death of a spouse. Any others? Bar/bat mitzvahs? Weddings? Parents passing away?

Without comparing to other months, it's hard to tell for sure, but it's been a bit slower, I'd say. What I'm curious to see by the end of the month is not so much the total intake, but whether any of the usual cheerers and/or tippers have reduced (or completely gone) totals. I'm seeing some signs so far, but I don't want to say too much and jinx it.

I can't speak to the numbers but with the TBLI demodding/banning, the banning of two very strong supporters and now that mini-rant about bullying uwu August is certainly not shaking out to be the positive month he tried to kick it off as. The dopamine from the Jasper reveal has gone and now he's in a valley of duhpreshun once more

There's a few possible explanations, I'd say. First, he's just feeling overconfident/salty and so he's retaliating against things he'd normally ignore; I think Jasper not getting the overwhelmingly warm welcome Phil was expecting got under his skin. Second, there's trouble in paradise with either Kat, Basic Bill, or both, but I can't imagine that changes much from day to day or week to week. Maybe Phil's just not able to shove his head in the sand and ignore it all lately.

Finally, being that money is the only thing that makes him happy, he could very well be experiencing a bit of a drought, but the 11th/12th seems early to call it that. We don't know Phil's financial situation and we never will, and he always manages to keep the keys to Fort Gout no matter what so I'd argue it's more a matter of perception for him when he gets like this. It's not so much that he's not getting the money he needs as he's not getting the money he thinks he needs. I'm sure he or Kat have their eye on some bauble and they're sick of waiting to get it.

In typical Phil fashion, instead of being a good sport and admitting that he's being outplayed, he constantly got destroyed, blamed everything and everyone for his poor skills then proceeded to periodically ban "trolls" and other chat members simply for stating simple observations.

How does this guy live with himself? The level of cognitive dissonance is nothing like I've ever seen in any adult I've come across.

It would have helped if he didn't make it obvious he knew it was EvilAJ because it made him seem petty. He was really complimentary to Rugal until people in the chat started saying it was EvilAJ and saying "big ups to EvilAJ" and its like a switch turned and bam, he was mad salty against Rugal and AJ couldn't do ANYTHING right. Then it started getting pretty vicious. DSP shat on everything he did. Then after he plays a super laggy match on Third Strike with someone else but is complimentary towards them?

He was really complimentary to Rugal until people in the chat started saying it was EvilAJ and saying "big ups to EvilAJ" and its like a switch turned and bam, he was mad salty against Rugal and AJ couldn't do ANYTHING right. You'll be fine. I hate to break it to you, but Mercedes' post-timeskip design is a huge downgrade (imo).
It only gets better from here, buddy.

I went to check the timestamp on that Tweet (12:06 am his time btw) and I have to say thank you for editing out the Mr Bean GIF he added to that Tweet and adding your own actually funny clip.
When I looked at Phil's original Tweet I cringed so hard I felt something snap in my neck

Those would be the two main things he would hate the most about SamSho.

Also that it's a fighting game made in this millennium and its complexity and depth reflect that.

DSP has trouble cracking an egg, let alone something he hasn't spent his entire adult life learning. Old dogs and all that.

I dunno he seems perfectly fine with throws in ST taking about a big 40% chunk of life so I don't see much difference in that regard. The game does have a bit of some mechanics like disarming weapons and such(just observations, haven't played it myself). Seems the game has a lot of fundamentals to it and doesn't have those insane combos that he seems to hate. So, to me, you could pick up a character in a day and go to town.

He is returning to MK11 because now he heard the good news that they did some changes to it so it's not "cheap"(Scorpion apparently was cheap thanks to Eyebrows Boon), and new character DLCs. So he's quick to go back to something familiar.

But as days go by he would just be trying to catch a train on foot at this point. Once again he is just shooting himself in said foot by avoiding these wide VARIETY of games to play and resorts to going back to his comfort zone playing the same AAA crap and his beloved Super Turbo. The guys priorities are just baffling.

Today is his day off. He likes to get a lot of money the night before so him and kat can spend it on whatever fuck it is they buy. Remember jasper got him over 1k for his last day off.

I remember last night he mentioned having to freshen up for his big day out, and having to make a list of shit to do. So his days off consist of what we all know, a big long day of spending money.

Well, SamSho for one thing allows combacks pretty nice because of Rage (your attacks get stronger, specials even more) there is disarming, the 2 supers you can do (one of them always disarms when it hits) and of course the rage attack that can anhialate the opponent's health bar if you hit. But most importantly is that the game is slow paced and relies a lot on using specials to open up the oportunity to land a big hit with either a special or a strong attack, specially using grabs to push the opponent and then go for a strong attack or a big counter.

The main pet peeve that Dave would have is how uses grab+strong attack and he loses nearly half life bar or how he is on top and gets destroyed by a rage attack, specially with Haohmaru which is the best character in game for potential combacks thanks to his tornado that hits twice while on rage mode.

If Kat is gonna be seen in public, by "REAL PEOPLE" they can't hide from, with this grease ball he's damn well gonna at least look as presentable as possible.

I can't imagine the rules he has to continually abide by to remain in such a "healthy relationship".

I always figured DSP parades around with Kat in sight of wherever PandaLee's working, and shaving and not looking like his scruffy weekday self was to flaunt how healthy, thriving and handsome he's looking with Kat in his life.
