Just bought a new pc, I know my old one was struggling to keep up with CK2 but the shift is way more dramatic than anticipated.

Recently made my hot asian wifu wife from the China a Hermetic magus along with me, she then became my rival in the order after her graduation. I then killed her in a duel which I like to imagine involved fireballs.

My son is susprisingly chill about it.

The modders won't distribute the mods anywhere but the forums or Steam because they don't want to piss off Paradox.

some of the bigger mods are on 3rd party sites exclusivly for legal reason

Sweden is op in every non hoi paradox game. Nothing new.
Sweden is pretty OP in HoI4. its stronger than france and banned in MP.

It's not like Vicky 3 would be a in a complete state on release anyway. Only after 5 years and a CK2+ style overhaul mod would it meet original expectations. Partially because expectations are high, but also because Paradox has fucked up at least their last 3 releases and shows no signs of learning from their mistakes instead of bitching and moaning to sycophants on their forums and reddit.

Like this one Victoria 2 mod where you can play as the Ottomans have a decision to kill Armenians and other infidels. Or play as Russia and remove kebab. Because clearly mass murder in Eastern Europe is unacceptable unlike the good ol' Scramble for Africa where you civilize the darkies by making them pick cotton and literal "famine in your colony" events. Maybe Paradox is just pro-Turkish and realize the truth about the so-called alleged totally never happened Armenian "Genocide" hoax. I mean you can't say "remove kebab" on their site without getting banned so maybe there's something to it.

Can't wait to have to spend mana just to buy goods from the world market or have my capitalists open a new factory.

those are ToS reasons. alot of mods use copyrighted material. the biggest CK2 mods is based on game of thrones and also uses some pictures and music from the Tv series.

it took them 2 months to start reworking the mana system in Stellaris and Imperator.

I'm not sure, the Imperator release was a new low and the publisher actually made Johan walk back his defense of mana in the game to the point that they're now inventing mechanics to replace it post-launch.
I still wouldn't be super optimistic about Nu-Paradox making Vicky 3 but to say they've shown no signs of learning from their mistakes is a bit of a stretch.

I don't really want a simplified version of Vicky 2.
You sure you don't want mobile Vicky with its one mana bar that can be refilled automatically by spending $1.99 and single action button that allows you to interface with the game?

Also, I doubt that Johan isn't in Vicky 3 project.Probably the teams in paradox are:
-Chris King and/or Henrik Fåhraeus in Vicky 3(probably).
-Wiz's(and Fahraeus) secret project.
-Jake Leiper-Ritchie, the one in charge of Stellaris and Dan Lin fixing(or not) Stellaris , HoI and EUIV.
-Johan in Imperator not knowing what to do with the game.

Is not like I believe that King is going to make a great Victoria 3, but at least Johan isn't going to have influence in the project.

The Paradox shitheads have pretty much been walking back every single problem in Imperator.

I got banned for saying their naval system was lazy. Now they're adding in multiple ship types like I wanted.
The forums were up in arms about there being only FOUR building types. Now they're adding in more.
The mana is being completely redesigned.

What assholes.

I think paradox just figured out it's easier to whip up some DLC that makes for nice screenshots on steam than to actually make working game systems.

I've been playing stellaris lately again because I really want to like it (yeah, it's sad) and I have all the DLC (pirated of course) and it's always astonishing how there's no game balance whatsoever and how the different game systems exist in a complete vacuum. Example: After the first few years you are swimming in resources so much the resource counters at the top are basically utterly meaningless since your storages are full, period. You have a sprawling empire into every direction (and the expansion malus for sprawling that makes everything more expensive doesn't work since sprawling still outpaces the losses) and you still get shitty meaningless events that make you click research ships and put them on research of anomalies in some ass-end system since nobody at paradox played the game for more like ten minutes. You can ignore these too though since whatever they find doesn't mean anything to you anyways. Population growth, buildings etc. - it all does not fucking matter since there is no game balance, ryhme or reason to any of these non-interconnected systems. It's just a bunch of abritary numbers that go higher all the time and sometimes exponentially. Have unemployed pops? Ignore them. Have a serious resource surplus that makes the work of half your pops meaningless? Ignore it. Don't know what research to pick? It doesn't matter, the options make just numbers go up that are meaningless for your game situation anyways. Absolutely nothing matters. You can literally just sit back, let the game run and do nothing. The entire game is just abritarty "Wouldn't it be cool if you could..." flashy stuff put together that sounds good with no balance or worthwhile game mechanics to it.

Some mods make it better, others make it worse. It pisses me off because there could be a good game in there. Some modders come close to creating very good solutions, a lot closer than paradox and people actually paid to work on the game ever do. Then they invariably burn out and quit because they realize they aren't paid for their work and the game creator is apathetic towards it.

How I'd love an in depth and good 4x space game that has the fun story components but also solid game mechanics. I doubt it'll happen in a reality where steam is a thing.

Thats something good. the problem is that they hired alot of retards for PR and their Forum.

Imperator works fine, the problem is, its not super fun. Its to easy and the mana system was flawed. still better than civ and all its clones.
the mana system felt extremly dated and old.

I recently started playing Stellaris again, and goddamn is this game amazing. I really want to show you guys my game as the lore is coming out really great in my opinion. 1BE9B2B5-1D7C-45D0-9914-00C067D26D18.jpeg

Sorry for the dogshit picture. So I’m playing a race of exterminator robots. So far I’ve been doing a pretty good job of it, as I have managed to take down two empires and exterminated a species of alien.

The balance that the galaxy currently sits in is as follows. I am the strongest power by far, with navies and defenses so powerful the other ayyylians couldn’t hope to fight. The aliens have aligned themselves through defensives pacts and a federation. Well everyone but the pink guy in the top right, he’s some militarist asshole that made rivals of everyone. The green and yellow guy at the bottom left are spiritualist pacifists. They formed the federattion, but I don’t know how ready they are to handle my threat. The teal, blue and red guys in the middle are allied through defensive pacts. Their is a fallen empire, but it a species of robot caretaker. They seem to be broken and malfunctioning. Because they are robots I have left them alone for so far, they could be allies.

Right now the population of the galaxy sits at 1899 organic pops, I have 777, the fallen empire has 176, and it seems the teal guys have been making robots. I have far more pops than any single population, it probably really helps that robots can live basically anywhere. I’m guessing in the next hundred years or so with my extinction efforts and more colony worlds my robots should outnumber ethem.

The left part of my empire is my home worlds and colonies; a well defended system of chokepoints and fortress worlds. The right part is a new conquest. I recently liberated it from some filthy organic. The area isn’t organized yet, as I need to set up my colonies and defenses.

This game just spat out some really good lore (in my opinion anyway.) it’s great to see that the recent updates really helped.

I played alot of Stellaris and its fun until you master the mechanics and see how imbalanced it is.

Exterminators and Starship Trooper republics are overpowered and there is only really one way to play from the mid-game onward - wide.

What's really sad is they took the only unique thing about their game (different travel types) and...removed it. "Well we can't figure out how to make it work so everyone just use the worst of the three travel types"

I put up with buying a button with every new EU4 expansion until that, I lost all interest in paradox. Then, for shits and giggles (or allegedly GDPR compliance) they make you register your game on their site just to get the "code" that lets you roll back to old patches on steam. It's something asinine like STELLARIS or something, I can't even remember anymore.

It's just a depressing clownshow.
